Dog musings and sad news I got an email today from a good friend to let me know she lost her eleven year old wheaten terrier. Penny was a sweet girl, she died from cancer. Apparently she wasn't sick until the very end. I feel for my friend. She doesn't want. Anyone to call her as she is not ready to talk. She only had the one dog so no one to hold close in this hurtful time. Dog musings: My razzle dazzle: he had a grand playtime in the park running like crazy to chase the MinPin. Such a social boy he charmed all the other dog owners and I was so happy to see him play with a wee doggie. I muse about risks I am willing to take. Many folks don't like leash free and I generally am one of them. But we have some good outings in this one park. MY Dara gal: she is a great ambassador for my breed the brt. Loves folks n dogs. Although she is an airhead! So a challenge to train. MY Magic boy: my senior is really true to the breed temperament. While being a dominant boy he is very friendly to folks unless they pose a threat to me. Very guardey. What was good the other day, we met this gorgeous Alaskan MAlamute, young boy only one yr old. Magic was busy finding his toy while I went over to say hello to the owner then to his boy. Of course magic came over. After the young owner watched me intersperse my body between the two dogs he got it! He also began to do it too. We had a nice lovely long conversation. Magic got to see me pet and be very comfy with the dog and owner, and that is important. Your dogs learn from you all the time. |
