Meet Maximus and Augustus, our Persian Kitties
 

We lost our precious Tiger almost two months ago now. I have been grieving and knew that I would eventually need another lovable kitty to adopt. No one will ever replace my cat/dog Tiger, but I realized that I couldn't go without any longer.

I found Augustus, who was part of a litter of peke faced Persian kitties in a town nearby. I went and visited his mommy and daddy and fell in love instantly. I brought him home that day. He is a black and white and is not even 1 pound yet. He is all fur :) (Pictures 1 and 2)

Before I found Augy, I had been communicating with a lady from Seattle about an adult male Persian that she had recently adopted from another family and he wasn't working out with her cat. I had planned on picking him up that Saturday, but I hadn't heard from her for days and she had taken down the ad on him. I assumed that she had changed her mind and decided to keep the beautiful boy. I found out two days after I adopted Augustus that she hadn't... We decided that we couldn't leave Maximus in a house where he was not wanted, so we drove the 4 hours to Seattle to pick him up. When we picked him up, his eyes were so infected, they were dripping stuff on the ground, he was covered in matts and infested with fleas. We since have taken him home, cleaned him up and he is getting neutered today :) He is receiving medication for his eye infection and it is clearing up nicely. He no longer has any mats or fleas and is getting vaccinated and microchipped today as well. (Pictures 3 and 4)

I didn't know you welcomed a 2nd kitty into your family too! Congratulations!! They are both beautiful and I love their names. I'm so glad Maximus is now with you in your loving care.

Maximus loves Augustus. They are playing alllll the time. Couver gets a little concerned about the big guy playing with his little brother, but I just cuddle him when they play. Augustus is so brave and fearless while Maximus is timid and at times skittish. It's funny that they enjoy each other so much :)

Maximus was neutered on Tuesday and is healing up well. Augustus is now 1 pound, 3.5 ounces. I love this cute small stage, but I'm excited for when he's big enPugh that he can sleep with us and we don't have to worry about stepping on him! :)

They are so adorable and so lucky to be part of your loving family. I miss having cats. They are so much fun!

Unfortunately, Augustus passed away in February :( He ended up having FIP, a fatal and incurable disease in cats. He is missed terribly.

We lost Augustus last February and after 10 months of grieving, I finally decided that we needed another kitten to help heal our hearts. I did some research and found a reputable persian breeder in my hometown and got in contact with her. After several visits later, we brought home a 12 week old kitten. It worked out that he is also a male and black and white like Augy. He is very different, but loved by all in our home.

His name is Sir Winston Fluffyworth :cat:, aka Winston. He will be getting neutered next weekend and is a ball of energy. His big brother Maximus is obsessed with him and they are inseparable. The dogs love to give him kisses and to wrestle and chase him. He is now almost 6 pounds and has thicker hair than any cat I have ever met...

1. His ride home from the breeder. He loved riding in my coat.
2. At the pet store picking up a new bed.
3. He loves his big sister Khloe. It's not long before he's bigger than her...
4. At the vet, he enjoys sitting in his kennel.
