I found this little dog...need help with breed.
 

I was at work today and a little white dog strolled into our warehouse. I heard some co-workers talking about a dog and I went outside and there was this little white dog that looked so lost. His face was completely matted with grass and mudd. His legs were completely black. I looked at him and he came up to me and licked my hand. I decided to wash him in the kitchen sink at work but all I had was hand soap. I took a scissor and cut off most of the hair on his face since it was completely matted and wouldn't come off with soap. I just brought him home. I have no idea what I am going to do with him yet. I am posting his picture on lost and found websites and I am going to post flyers by where I work.

His paws are completely raw and he has trouble standing on them. I am just worried that someone just dumped him since I work in a very industrial area and the closest residential area is nearly 3 miles away.

I am having issues trying to figure out what breed he is. He has some sort of mix. I think he is rather young maybe 1 since his teeth are perfect and white and are strong.

If anyone can help me figure out more or less what breed he is, it would help when I post him on found websites.

Maltese.

I was thinking he had maltese in him but he has some tan markings on his back and his hair sheds.

Thank you for taking this baby in from the street....pitiful little lost soul. I would take him to the vet in the am and see if he has a chip....that would be a wonderful thing if he did, as long as the home he goes back to is a good one for him. He is very fortunate he even survived the trip, and walked into what he was hoping was help. YOU filled that bill for him! If I got no response from the scan/microchip, and no response from the flyers/ads.....I would be picking out a name! He found YOU, and you opened up your heart for him....

Is it shedding or hair broken from being matted? Does he have an undercoat? Or Maltese mix... but I don't see any other breed in him (that I recognize). Maltese do sometimes have lemon/tan on their ears. Maybe just not a show specimen...

I also see Maltese but mixed with something.....just don't know what!

I think his hair might just be breaking from all the matting. I am taking him to the vet first thing in the morning. He didn't even have a collar. I am hoping he has a microchip.

Poor baby. I hope you find his owners or a good home for him.
I'd guess he's maltese and/havanese.

What a lucky boy- raw paws! Heart broken! I can see the Maltese but he looks very stocky with stubby short legs- how much do you think he weighs?

He weighs about 8lbs but he is very long with short legs. I am waiting at the vet now to see if he has a chip if he doesn't I'm going to groom him at least to be able to have him in the house.
