Last vet on Sat for Magic our BRT Phew full blood panel all well with in normal range:thumbup::thumbup: Titers were good so no shots!! Well he does still have 2yrs to go on his last Rabies. But wow the pricing for the two titers was $160. Now I'm having trouble getting a urine sample from him. Last year and the time before no problems. I think he is "shy" lol. I try to get the bowl under him to collect urine, and he STOPS urinating:eek: He is a big boy, wondering if anyone has any suggestions? |
I'm ecstatic to hear of Magic's blood results. I'm chuckling thinking of you trying to get his urine sample. Magic is a very strong willed boy, but so is his mom. I had the same trouble with Katie, and it took a lot of persistence on my part since I have a very stubborn little girl. I attached a link about sending blood to Dr. Dodds for titering. I don't know how much a blood draw would be, but it seems that a Rabies titer is $80 and the Parvo/Distemper is only $45.00. https://labordatenbank.com/cake/hemo...s/hemopet_form HEMOPET.HTM |
We use a wire coat hanger as a pee catch pole. Straighten it out & bend 1 end into a circle that a sandwich bag will fit over & into then when he starts to pee you can put it under the stream without disturbing him. Your vet probably has a few in the office & I bet if you ask , they will let you borrow 1. |
