RIP Annie B - my mom's amazing scottie 4 Attachment(s) My mom had to put down her scottie, Annie, tonight. She was diagnosed with bladder cancer 2 years ago and kept getting worst and worst these past few months. I love Annie a lot so it was really hard for me and especially hard for my mom. I just have to keep telling myself that she is not in pain anymore and is in a better place. RIP Annie February 2nd, 2003 - December 5th, 2011 :( |
I\'m so sorry. Annie was so beautiful. Please know that my heart is breaking for you and for your mom. I have lost my little loves in the past and I know how hard it is. Please give your mom a big hug for me and tell her how sorry I am. Hugs to you too.... Jean |
Annie B is beautiful! I love Scotties... super dogs. I am so sorry for your loss. Big Hugs to you and your Mom. |
So sorry to hear about Annie, may the sweet angel rest in peace. Sending special prayers for you and your family. |
Thank you everyone! Your kindness is greatly appreciated and very helpful in this time of healing. |
So sorry to hear about Annie. Two years w bladder cancer - she sounds like a real fighter! Such a pretty girl. My parents had Scotts. Their last one Max, died of cancer also. They are wonderful dogs. |
They are so pretty! We only had Annie for a couple years. She used to be a show dog and once she had a litter, the owners were trying to teach her one girl puppy to show but Annie was too protective of her so it made it hard for them. They decided to give her away the summer of 2007. My mom saw her and said it was love at first lick! |
So sorry for the loss of Annie. I know how much your heart is hurting. I had to make that same decision 4 years ago when my 13 year old Chipper had bladder cancer. I cried for months until Piper came into my life. RIP Annie. |
Oh my ! I am sooo sorry for your familys loss :( my heart breaks for yall. She was absolutely precious! I\'m currently looking into a female scottie to join our family and was just reading up some online and saw about bladder cancer. - is it that prevalent? |
It seems like scotties are predisposed to it. But it\'s just the same with yorkies and other things that are common for them. Every breed seems to be predisposed to something now a days. They are really wonderful dogs though. Annie was so incredibly docile! She bothered nobody and nothing bothered her. You could have brought any dog into the house and she would pay no attention to them. It was always alll about Annie! |
yea that seems very true - was just discussing that @ the vets office the other day. I had a male scottie years ago when I was back home in Louisiana. I absolutely adored him. He was a great great dog - so very smart. I will going tomorrow to meet the 3 1/2 y/o female that I mentioned above. My husband wants to go with another male yorkie but vet suggested opposite sex and diff breed. I immediately went to a scottie. We shall see if shes the one :D |
Oh good luck tomorrow!!! The breed itself is so adorable! I absolutely love them. I always brought my yorkie over to my mom\'s so they could hangout together. Annie was pretty sick so at first she was resistant with him but she eventually warmed up after she noticed he was pretty harmless and just a little puppy. She was definitely more accepting towards males so your vet may make a good suggestion. My yorkie always tried playing with her so I had to step in and get him to play with a toy cause Annie wasn\'t much of a player or had any use for toys. She basically just sat around and looked pretty lol We did teach her to learn the "sit" command when she was around 5-6 years old so they definitely are smart even at an older age! |
thanks! we shall see! |
I am soooo sorry for the loss of precious Annie B. She seemed like a sweetheart. What a precious face. |
I am so sorry for your loss... It sounds like Annie was an amazing dog. Beautiful too! RIP sweet Annie |
