My bunny died tragically I got home from work yesterday and my rabbit was attacked outside. She was in a fenced in yard, but I believe some animal broke into the yard. She was torn apart. :( It was horrifying and traumatic. My boyfriend and I had to pick up the 'pieces' and bury her. OMG... I am so sad she died like that. My heart is broken for her. :( Sweet baby! RIP Lyra, I wish I could have saved you. |
so sorry for your loss..... |
I'm very sorry about your bunny :( |
so sorry you had to find your bunny that way. I had a bunny when i was young he was the neatest thing. I would bring him inside and play and put him back in his cage. He was about 4-5 yr old and got really big and his cage needed to be bigger. One night after playing i had to pu him back and i decided to wrap chicken wire around 3 trees and make an x-pen (kinda)...well next morning i went out and he was gone...I cried and cried....we lived in the country and that night my dad said he heard something outside and believe it to be an owl getting him......i was heartbroken, i loved that bunny...SO sorry for your loss.. |
Yeah, its heartbreaking! I'm sooo sad for her. I've always had bunnies, they are sweet animals! |
Sad to hear of the tragic loss of your bunny, prayers are with you. |

Thanks so much ladies. I am so sad everytime I go out to let the dogs out I want to cry. uugghhh |
I am so sorry to hear about your bunny, and you having to come home to such a tragic scene. Sending hugs and prayers. |
My heart breaks for you hearing about your bunny. I'm so sorry for your loss. |
Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry to hear that. :( I can just imagine how sick to your stomach you must feel. *HUGS* |
Oh my gosh! I am so sorry, there are just no words...but I am sending love, support, and hugs. Are you okay today? (I mean, outside of the tragedy...do you have support, in addition to here?) |
Thanks everyone! Yeah my boyfriend is soo good... he went out and picked up the pieces (literally) and buried her in the woods beyond the backyard. Since we don't know if something wild got into the backyard or if it was my brother's dog who got to her, my boyfriend feels sooo guilty since he left the house and left my brother's dog in the other fenced in yard. Its just terrible though. :( Every night I make my boyfriend go with me to let the dogs out since I am nervous something is getting in yard and it\'s big enough to do what it did to my bunny, then its big enough to do that with one of my dogs. I see her empty cage now and it\'s sooo sad. :( Maybe someday I\'ll get another bunny, but right now... I don\'t think so. |
I hope in time that you can rest easier in your mind and feel less fearful about taking your babies out back. Your words about your bunny reveal how much you loved her, and I know you would have done anything to keep her safe and protected from harm. I hope you are able to remember all of the special times with your bunny and that, in time, your painful memories are replaced by the precious ones of times you\'ve shared with your bunny and your other babies. I know how much it hurts to open up your heart and feel such love for a furbaby, and I really care. |
