Glad to hear she's fine. My DH had a Dane when I started dating him. She lived to the ripe old age of 13, which is good for a Dane. |

Sending prayers for your baby. I hope she gets well and is back to herself in no time. |
Looks like Lucy is staying at the e-vet overnight. We have to pick her up from our vet and take her to the e-vet. They said she still needs her IV pain meds. She has been shaking on and off all day. The good news is that she ate a spoon-full of a gruel mixture for them today!! So, looks like I am stopping by the feed store to grab some wet food for her. Oh, I am taking the kids to see her today so they can see that she is doing okay. They are so worried about her. |
Hopefully she will be able to come home soon. |
thank God you caught it early. I'm so glad to hear she's doing better. Your family is blessed. I lost my baby girl to bloat. We didn't catch it in time. It was horrible. she was a wonderful dog, had the best temperment, and loved my boys. She took the best care of us. I just couldn't bring myself to get another Dane. Ruby has done wonders to heal our hearts. Leslie |
Yes, Leslie...I had already decided if we lost Lucy we were not getting another Dane. Not that we don't love her more than anything.....but I would never want to go through this again. She is an amazing dog. She loves the kids and tolerates them so well. Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. It means so much to me! |
1 Attachment(s) Here is a pic of her today when we transported her from the reg vet to the e-vet. She was so happy to see us and she did not want to go back in that place! |
