Help with our new rescue! We have 4 dogs in total now. 3 Chihuahuas, and 1 Yorkie. The latest addition to our family is Graycie, she is a gray Chi. She is 3 years old and just sweet as she can be. We have found that it is very hard to take care of 4 little attention craved doggies. They all want and require SO much attention, its hard to give them all what they need. To me, 3 was a snap, and four just seems like sort of an overload. One of my good friends really wants our new rescue, Graycie, the latest addition to our family. She already has one rescue and wants Graycie so badly. She's met Graycie and immediately fell in love with her. Today, I was going to give her to my friend, but it was just so hard and I told her I needed some time to think. The thing is, I've been contemplating this decision for about a month now. I just don't know if I have it in me to give her away. But at the same time, its hard for me to split my attention to another needy little girl. I'm not sure if my wanting to keep her is in her best interest, or just because I am now attached to her. No question my friend would be an amazing home --- but I'm not sure if I can do it! Any input would be very much appreciated and considered. I just need to make a decision soon -- this worrying is a tad stressful. Thanks!:) |
I think deep down we all know the decision that we will make its just sometimes hard to make it. Dont second guess yourself do what you want. My thought is if she already fits in and she seems happy and you love her and want her then keep her :D If you think she would be happier being only the second dog in a household that let your wonderful friend have her. Does your friend plan on getting more? She might end up in a house full of dogs anyway.... Dont let anyway sway your decision making. You will regret it. |
