Please meet Olivia :]
 

This is my new cat, Olivia (Liv).

She is a very special girl.

Some friends of ours (Ellie and Patti) found her wandering around their back yard about 3 weeks ago. Ellie is very allergic, so they knew they couldn't let her inside/keep her. But they decided that they would take care of her until they could find her a home. So they got her a little house and named her Buoy. :) About a week after she showed up, she suddenly was nowhere to be found. She came back about 3 days later, except this time she was spayed. They've come to the conclusion that the "cat lady" in their town caught her and had her spayed, then released her. There is another cat who wanders around who looks a lot like her, and Ellie and Patti have come to the conclusion that he/she is a sibling, but that cat is VERY unfriendly and definitely not looking to be made anyone's pet.

Ellie posted about Buoy on facebook, and said that they were looking for a home for her. So today we went to their house to meet her. She is the SWEETEST cat I have EVER met in my life. I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her. :love:

They're pretty sure she was dumped, because of her affection for humans and playfulness. All I know is, whoever is responsible for the emaciated state she was in when she showed up should be ashamed of themselves, because she is definitely a little treasure.

We're going on vacation this coming week, so Ellie and Patti are going to keep her until next Saturday, when we will pick her up and bring her home.

So, please meet Olivia Buoy. :)

PS - she has extra toes on her front paws. Does anyone know the cause of that?

She's very cute. She's polydactyl! I have a polydactyl cat too. Be care of the extra toes. Those nails seem to grow especially fast.

A friend owned a tom with extra toes...his name was slugger. :D

ADORABLE :)! This looks a lot like my Dad and Stepmom's cat and she too has the extra toes and her paws are really cute.

Good luck with her. What a lucky little ducky she is to go home with
you. How anyone can just dump an animal on the streets to fend for themselves is beyond my way of thinking.

Hi guys!!

Livvy came home last night. :):):) :love:

I love her SO much. I thought that because she was a stray she'd have a hard time adjusting. But she gave up her fight very quickly when I put on her collar (and has ignored it since), she went in her litter box last night while I was sleeping (she didn't have a SINGLE accident!!!), and she snuggled with me all night.

Her only problem right now is...Tucker. haha. I brought her downstairs this morning and he ran over to greet me and she FREAKED out. Luckily, her idea of freaking out doesn't involve claws being dug into my skin. She just cried (she sounds almost like a human when she cries. It freaks me out haha). Tucker wants to be friendly and she's having none of that. I guess they'll just need some adjustment.

But all in all, it's going well and I love her to death already. :)

Congratulations Megan!! Liv is beautiful (love the name). How kind of your friends to keep her for you - and I have to say - what a great "cat lady" your neighborhood has to spay animals on her own!!!!!
