PUPPIES DUE SOON!!! Do you wanna see belly pix?
 

This is Nikki our staff (traditional staff not amstaff) she is due in 17 days, counting 63 days from the first day of mating. She was remated two days later. Though to be honest she has never delivered on her due date, I'm think maybe the early days of March! Having said that she is BIG compared to her previous litters the largest of which was 5!!! She looks to be carrying evenly this time which makes me think 6 at least. When its an odd number she looks lobb sided!LOL! Maybe she will go early or at least on time with her being so big:confused:

So far she has always delivered in the night, going into labour in the early evening. Even though I'm clued up on what to do, I've never had to assist her, she self whelps and does all the work herself! Bless her! I believe it helps her to bond so I just sit and massage the tips of her ears and pass her a drink if she wants it. We've never lost a pup (touch wood) and we've never had to hand rear either, she is a great mother!
I love having puppies in the house although it is alot of hard work!


Would anyone be interested in a puppy watch when the time comes?
If I have it right its daytime there when its early evening here? So for the first time I may have some company!:D


OH! And yes she does need a bath! But she hates water sooo much and I hate to upset her when she's pregnant:rolleyes: So I guess its time for what we call here, a "scouse bath" meaning baby wipes and lotion!LOL!

Oh my goodness...look at that tummy...so cute!

The belly's getting bigger every day!!! Nikki 's snoring has started to get LOUDER and she is peeing every 5 minutes! Poor love-I know how that is:rolleyes: She spends most of her time flat out on top of her duvet.
Only two weeks to go til the house is filled with puppy breath again-can't wait and I bet Nikki will be relieved to get them out of there and meet them for the first time!

I can't wait.

I'm sooo excited! I've already come up with a theme for puppy names.

BISCUITS (or cookies as you lot in the states know them as;))

So far I have;

COOKIE (girl/boy)
OREO (boy)
DODGER (jammie dodgers are a UK fave) (boy)
GINGER (as in gingerbread) (girl)
JAFFA (jaffa cakes are yummy) (boy)

I need help!!! Are there any other cute biscuit/cookie names out there! It will be easier once shes had them and I know how many boys and girls we have!!!

Oh! You ain't seen nothing yet!!! Her belly is much bigger now! I took some more pix today-I'll post them later!!! She still has 9/11 days til D-Day depending on when she took!

Thanks for the support but so far so good-she has done great with her past litters! She does'nt even winge about it!
