I love having 2 :) |
I grew up having cockatiels when I was younger. They have all since then passed and I miss them so much everyday. They're such wonderful, loving birds. |

I don't know anything about Parrotlets but I had one Cockatiel growing up and he was super attached to me, like VERY. Well we bought another bird to the house, a budgie and he suddenly(cockatiel) became kinda distant with us and got closer to the other bird. When we gave the budgie away Timothy was back to his normal self. So if your parrotlet is attached to you and very interactive i dont know if i would suggest getting another. But maybe someone who has 2 can help. Sometimes when there are 2 or more they interact more amongst themselves and not with the owners. |

I use to breed parrotlets. If your parrotlet was handfed he/she will stay bonded even when adding another. However, he/she may not bond to your new parrotlet if he/she was a handfed. Pairing off may be difficult depending on the bond that was formed with you. |
What Obie said! I had a handfed parrotlet, he was very bonded with me, bought a second bird, not a good result! They picked at each other constantly, even from separate cages. I've heard that some birds will get along, but I didn't have good luck with it. |
