Prayers for Bella
Yesterday, Bella, our Boston Terrier was bleeding all over the laundry room (that is where her bed is). I called our vet last night. Turns out, one of her nipples were cut. I don't know how it happened, I know my boys were taking her out to potty, but they denied that she could have cut it on anything (of course :rolleyes:). Since it had stopped bleeding and she had me check her for other "signs", we decided to meet in the a.m. and she was going to take her in when she went to work. That part seems to be ok, but upon examining her more closely this a.m., she noticed an inguinal hernia. Bella will be having surgery the beginning of next week (I have to call the receptionist first and set it up for an exact date). :( This pup has been through so much. We got her from a guy my dh works with. Bella was rescued from a puppy mill earlier this year and he and his wife adopted her. They are getting ready to go over the road trucking and felt like she would be better off with someone who had more time. Bella is also the reason I have Maximus (my Yorkie). About a month after we got her, I let Bella out to go potty, got side tracked with the kids, and about 30 minutes later I went to get her and she was gone. We put posters out, got in the car and drove around, asked neighbors, etc. That was on a Monday. I went on puppy rebound and I found Maximus on Thursday. Dh agreed to get him as a Christmas gift for me. Saturday, we went to pick him up...and on Tuesday, we got a call and some people at the very end of our road had seen our posters and brought Bella back to us. So, now I have both my babies. :)
So, if you don't mind, please say a little prayer for Bella that her surgery goes smoothly and she recovers quickly. |
