Cat Pee! My oldest cat has started peeing on the carpeted landing of my stairwell. I have shampooed it and soaked it with nature's miracle. The stench is improved but still there. I also tried pouring some vinegar on it. Anything else short of ripping up the carpet that I can do to get rid of the smell? What about some baking soda dissolved in water? I have had cats all of my life but never a smell problem as bad as this. Thanks for any help you can give. |
I would suggest taking him to the vets. If those things aren't removing the smell he might actually be sick. The only alternative would be to remove the carpeting. If those things haven't alleviated it then I doubt anything will. |
Unfortunately, replacing the carpet and padding is about the only thing to do. If you decide to do that, use a product call Binn by zinsser to seal the subfloor. It works miracles! |
