severe dog jealousy issues chelsea & binny are my cousin's dogs and i am staying with them for the summer. chelsea's like 3 and binny's 9 or 10 y/o. i noticed that binny has a nasty temper!!! she'll growl at you and tries to bite you. she'll growl if i pet her and she doesn't want to be petted. but that could be because she didn't know me. now she only growls when i pet her while she's sleeping. but onto the main problem, chelsea & binny fight infront of me all the time. well it is binny that starts the fights. for instance, this one night i tried not to sleep with the dogs because i never get a good night's sleep but when i went to the bathroom in the middle of the night, chelsea ran and sneaked into the room t o sleep with me. in the morning binny wanted to come into my room. she was whinning and scratching the door (6am) my aunt wouldn't open the door for her. when i woke up binny went in and attacked chelsea. i'm assuming she was mad that chelsea got to sleep with me while she had to sleep elsewhere. i also noticed that when i get up to go to the bathroom, binny has to be the first one to follow me. chelsea on the other hand gets mad if i only pet binny. he'll try to squeeze his snout underneath my petting hand so she'll get petted instead of binny... i was told by my cousin that binny started to develop these nasty temper ever since chelsea came along. i mean i can understand it. its like when you got your baby brother/sister, you're no longer the center of attention.... anyone have dogs that have severe jealousy issues? |
My Betty is kind of jealous of my younger girl, Juju. She always wants to be the center of attention. If I try to play with Juju, Betty runs over barking and trying to get in on the action. She takes EVERY toy from Juju...and every chew. She's a little rotten! |
My cocker spaniel is jealous and selfish. He doesn't like to share anything with any other dog except Fritzel. Fritzel can take anything from him. But he will bite my bulldog if he comes too close to me or his toys. I have to keep them separate most of the time. |
