ribs that's what I have in the Instant Pot right now |
..BBQ I was going to ask if you used it yet. |
Chicken I made a whole chicken on Sunday and the ribs yesterday. Both were fall off the bone. The actual cooking time for the ribs from raw to fall off the bone done was 30 minutes but it does take longer than that. It takes 10 minutes for the pot to get up to pressure to start cooking and I have read that it is better for the food to let the pot cool down naturally for 20 minutes to release the pressure instead of just using the pressure release valve which would release all the pressure in 60 seconds. After 2 attempts I love this thing! Now I am going to spend my days searching for Instant Pot recipes! |
..Eggs FB has instant pot recipes and help from the members if you need it. Now you're making me want to use mime lol. I have mine 1 1/2 years still have not even done the egg test let alone use it lol Thanks for the tip of letting me know it's better for the pot to cool naturally You can also google instant pot recipes. |
salad I have been googling all day! The next dinner will be a pot roast but it will have to wait until tomorrow as tonight will be leftover night. My neighbor, who also has one, says it is great for making hard boiled eggs. 5 minutes to warm up, 5 minutes to cook, quick pressure release and 5 minutes in a bowl of ice. She swears the whole shell just slides off the egg. I can't stand peeling eggs. |
Caesar Ohhh, is that what the egg test is LMBO, you do hard boiled eggs lol OMG I'm hysterical lol. FB instant pot members keep telling new users to do the egg test first lol. I hate peeling the shells too. |
