1492, 1942 either way it's before I was even born. At least 1492 has some significance.

The rat was more for me but I thought Tink would have fun with it too. When she was a puppy I didn't think she would hurt it. Now? not so sure.

Gerbils, gerbils, gerbils. My kids got a two gerbils from a neighbor when they were young. A gerbil was pregnant. Several babies were delivered. Mom started to eat one but when we removed the other gerbil from the cage, she stopped.

After those gerbils died, they got more. The pet store worker assured us the gerbils were female. Well, he didn't tell us they had been with males and were BOTH pregnant!

Well, we ended up with gerbil city.. :D We gave some away and they had babies.... neverending story, eh?

We took peat moss and put it pretty deep their tank and they would dig tunnels all over the place and had places to hide. It was pretty cool - even though I DO NOT like rodents.

They finally all died and I said NO MORE! Then ferrets entered our lives. :rolleyes:

So G&M, I hope yours are pregnant - oh I mean hope they are not! :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

It's just too hard to "know" people on the web cause you don't have the face to face contact and the body language, etc... people can claim to be anything and you'd never know. I've learned some hard, painful lessons over the past weeks or months or whatever.... I will try not to make the same mistakes again.

I know I havnt been posting alot lately but that was my choice. had alot on my mind and been busy here.
I agree with being causious with people . so many many GOOD people on YT.
i have never met you in real life..maybe someday who knows, Ive only met a few margaritaville, papi and lori...
i just dont understand why people lie, it ALWAYS comes back to bite you in the a$$

I LOVE gerbils... I love to sit and watch them making their little tunnels and burrows!

Gypsy won't get chance to eat them because they won't be coming out of the cage so she can't get to them! They have a huge enclosure and enough space to play without coming out. She loves to sit and watch them!

There was 3 in the pet store, the white one and grey one I got yesterday and that left a brown one... well I felt so mean that I left it I went back and got it this morning! :rolleyes: All night I was whitterling about leaving this one all alone! They were so happy to see each other and the grey one was leading the brown one round their tunnels as if to show him round and then the white one showed the brown one where the food was! lol

I just need names for them now!

Names - let's see. Larry, Moe and Curly? Whitie, Brownie, and Dapple Grey? Dis, Dat and da udder wun? Margaret, Melissa and Purdie?

Thank you thank you! IT has a pocket on each end, three in the front, three inside front and a large one inside back. A place for everything. I carried it today and I really like it. So did everyone at work!:)

So what difference does it make if they are from the same "lot." (I'm actually not sure what that means... :rolleyes: ) If they are gerbils and one is male.... you're in for a LOT of babies..... can you tell if they are male or female?
