That reminds me - once I was telling my sister I was getting brain freeze cause I was drinking a shake but instead I told her I was getting freezer burn! :yelrotflm I couldn't quit laughing all the way home. Now she always teases me about it.

we were supposed to get those storms today and got lucky.... it bypassed our area except for some wind and clouds... good thing, we dont need the rainright now....

Reminds me instead of saying someone is a pack rat for keeping everything I say rat pack...........

I get really frustrated when I hear stories like this. We could bombard them with emails for you if you think that might get someone's attention.

When we adopted Bernie I contacted half-dozen rescues...I only ever heard back from one.

Good luck, you're a wonderful person wanting to give that little one a loving home!

Well, I listend to the 5:00 news and it was suppose to bypass us too. Then listened to the 10:00 news and it is suppose to hit in the middle of the night! I don't mind the rain, lightning but its tornadoes that scare me. Never been in one but see the after affects of one that passes through!

Ack! I keep getting kicked off too! Then when I get back there's been like 10-12 posts, and until I get caught up....it's a viscious cycle:rolleyes:

Guess not else much you can do. I think sometimes when they run into a really sweet pup, someone from the rescue decides to keep the pup for themselves. But maybe too, they have a lot of requests. I'd just keep inquiring of them about her.

well I shure keep you in my thoughts and prayers.. Our snow this AM was Thunder snow.. it was kinda cool but Daisy HATES the thunder :(

before I found Tootie, I tried for MONTHS to rescue a baby.. the only places that ever answered me declined me because I had OTHER dogs... LOL.... seems like they would want a dog lover to adopt..... but I guess I am glad now cuz it got me my Tootie AND my Hopey!

I was just reading the thread about people who STILL haven't gotten their Gift exchange! And some never got a thank you at all. How naughty is that?! If they have a good excuse, OK, but otherwise, that's just not nice!

I felt bad that my buddy didn't post anything we got her but at least she said thank you very nicely. That's so important. OK I'm done!

Some rescues are so strict. WE looked for literally months for a single dog. We wanted a female maltese. Everytime we applied (and some of those applications are detailed and long) by the time we'd hear back, the dog would be gone. By the time another dog came available, we would have to update our application as they "just can't keep all the applications they receive." So finally we went elsewhere to look and found both of our kids on Petfinder.com classified section.

I think admin is cracking down on who can participate because of this kinda thing. I don't get it. I couldn't wait to post pics when Ginger got her GE (we didn't participate this time, but did a couple of times ago)

I got Tink from a rescue group in North Central Wisconsin that rescues from the farmer brown puppy mills when they're babies. They try to take the moms too when they'll let them go.
