I'm sorry thread kids...I didn't mean to make you panic! I had a partial hysterectomy last May but still had trouble so they completed it last Thursday. Lucky me...had to have full abdominal surgery soooo...going in tomorrow to have my staples removed and I should be as good as new in a few weeks. My husband is the perfect nurse when I'm sick...he waits on me hand and foot, dries my hair, cooks, cleans and does the laundry...takes care of all the babies and makes sure I take my meds. He takes me out for a ride every afternoon and we stop somewhere so I can walk a little bit. I stayed the night at a very nice hotel with my Mom the night before surgery...we went out for dinner and shopping all night. We planned that so my husband could stay home a little longer to take care of everyone so they wouldn't have to be in their kennels so long...well...he couldn't sleep and ended up beating us to the hospital...he was sitting in the lobby reading the paper when we got there! The hospital is 50 miles from our house and I was in there for 4 days...he drove up every morning and spent the day with me...we shared our afternoon coffee and then went home to take care of things but he called me every night before bed. I have a wonderful husband...and no complaints even after 28 years. :luvu: |
Don't you get at least six weeks of being pampered after that surgery??? :D I hope you heal up quickly. You sound so chipper... are you still on drugs? Your husband sounds like a fairy tale to me. Hang onto that blessing!!!! |

Yes, Omega...6 to 8 weeks of pampering but I already feel so guilty! No more happy drugs...I came home with a prescription in case I need them but I have a high tolerance for pain so I only take one if I feel I've walked too much. I'm feeling pretty good already. Tink's Mom...I was fortunate when I met my husband. We knew each other for 3 days, moved in together, got married 8 months later and here we are today. It had to be fate... |
I'm happy that you found each other. You were meant to be. Hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day with each other. And your furbabies too!:D |
Poor little under nourished thread...I'll feed you a line or two... Any body home tonight? Winston and I are all snuggled under a warm blanket...it is cold and windy here in Illinois. I keep trying to think "spring", but the reality is that it's still winter. Winston had a birthday...he is now 5 years old...my how time flies. He had a great day, got a few presents, which he entusiastically tore open. Seems to really love the new "hedgehog" toy he got, he carries it around the house in his mouth like a baby. Then he lays down with it and the squeaking begins...oh yea, he's happy and just a wee bit spoiled. Hope every one has a fabulous week end!!! |
OMG! I don't remember when was the last time I visited the TK, but it has been several months I'd say! I was about to leave YT when I heard the email sound, checked it out and saw TK update. So hapy to be back! How can I forget the good 'ol times! |
I'm in my pj's just finished taking my cough syrup 'cause I'm sick with the flu and don't want to do much. How are you Kathy? |

I had been wondering how your grandmother was doing. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I will be praying for you and your family. How is your mom dealing with this? |
