is it on your AC joint I have to have that one done. the recovery is like 6 weeks and no moving your arm for half that.

Well that sounds a bit painful!!!!:eek: :eek: How long of a hospital stay involved??? I just had a very simple surgery for removing a mole on my face. Doctor did a great job and it was benign but left a 2 1/2 inch long scar. I am using some scar treatment ointment suggested by a fellow MTer that works in a plastic surgeons office. It's actually coming along pretty good!

If I was you, I sure would get up early and feed my face........especially if you are going to be eatting "hospital" food for a couple of days.

Deb just called. She can't get back from the clinic. The wind has blown in the drive and she can't get out. Good thing for her that the clinic is attached to her house. At least she'll be OK.

Her clinic is on the edge of town and the driveway in is about 1/4 mile. So, she's stuck til they come plow her out. Her and Fred the St. Bernard.;)

I know with what I am getting done no need to stay. after but I hear it is really painfull.

I'll be fine. I feel pretty good.. I have pillow propping my back so I can post without getting too sore.

Omega and Daisymae06 how long do you have to stay in hospital after your surgeries?

I get out the same day if nothing goes wrong.

Yes mam, that's what it is. Six weeks of no work and no pay. :eek: I have to figure out how to put harnesses on 3 very wiggely dogs with my left hand to take them outside. There was a big dog in our yard today, so I don't dare let mine run around.

HA! You think they actually let us STAY??? NO way. I'm in at 3:30, surgery at 4:30 and home about 1-2 hours later....:(

It is my right arm and they wanted me to have it done before december but I want to wait till school gets out.
I go to physical theripy once a week to deal with the pain.

My doc gave me Darvocet for the pain, but it's like taking sugar pills. He isn't even sure if the surgery will help! Please everyone - pray that it does, ok??? For me and Miss Daisy Mae.

Ok - my dogs need some attention and I am totally stressed out, so I am taking a break for awhile here. Talk to you later, ok???? :) Don't miss me too much.:D

I just hate being in a hospital! Been there four times. First three times was okay, had my kids!!! The last time was for a colonoscopy! Egads, the prep for it was worse than the procedure! YUCKY!!

I HATE COLONOSCOPIES! The twilight that puts you under doesn't work for me so I just get to feel it. Oh My! I get to have one next month. Ick!

I agree hospital is not a good place to go. I've had 6 surgeries in the last 4 years and had to go several other times for pain management. No fun. But we get through it don't we. The worst is the rehab center where the nurses talk to you like you're 8 yrs old or have dementia. Ho hum. I'm the bright spot in their day. LOL:D

I guess I am really lucky to have a PT person who is really nice and muscle relaxers for the spazems and pain killers and patches for the pain.

Yes, PT is wonderful. I'm so glad my insurance pays for most of it. Lots of times PT can delay or even prevent surgeries. I have a great group of PTists for my back. I love them lots. :)

Did you say you have the pain patch? It really does take the edge off doesn't it?

Most of the time the lioderm patch helps a little. my insurence pays 90% after a 300.00 deductable and I get 62 combind visits a year.

Dan's potato soup was good. I just had two bowls of it. I was a hungry bear.

Tink has been sleeping most of the day. I hope she's OK. She mostly wanted to be by me and I thought it was because she felt bad for me.

Oh yeah, I didn't thik of that.

I'll be fine. Deb has called twice in the last hour. She's gonna drive me to drink! Good think I don't have any liquor in the house! LOL:p
