Hi Kathy, good to see you! I don't often post in this thread, but do read now and again. Saw you were on and thought I'd jump in to say Hello. Hi to everyone else too:wavey: I hope you're all having a good weekend. It's my son's 25th birthday today - boy do I feel old! He had a pool party, yes, still does that at his age:D Tons of friends come around, all sit on blankets, eat, drink, chat, swim and generally have fun! I love having them all here, but its 11pm here now and they've all gone now thank goodness, They've been here since 12. It's been a looooong day. Sheilagh |
Hello Sheilagh. Happy Birthday to your son!!! Sounds like you have had quite a day...wish I was there. I have been limiting myself to weekends only on YT, otherwise I get absolutely nothing else done. Seems like I miss a lot while I'm away, and it takes me forever to catch up on everything. So I find myself reading more and posting less, hmmmm, I really do miss everyone. Where's Lauren been, haven't seen nor heard from her forever it seems like. Hope all is well and that she's just been busy...I do know that feeling. |
Lauren is in Australia! Lucky lady, she and Jack went to visit some of his family. I went to visit her mom the other day. She is lovely. Quite a character! She told my hubby to loose weight.. just like that.. so funny!! Laurens Dad died from a heart attack, so she was warning Kevin of all the evils of stress, over weight etc. She actually stays about 20 minutes from me. Small world! I will get to meet Lauren next time she visits her mom. Can't wait. I read your posts about not being happy at your new job. I am so sorry. I hope things improve or that you find something else. I will be holding thumbs. How is our Winston? Hugs to him and you. Sheilagh |
Lauren is a lucky lady, I'm happy to hear she's having fun times. And you too are a lucky lady for getting the chance to meet her. I wish I could meet you both...how far is South Africa from Illinois??? Doubt very much that I will ever get there in my lifetime...but we will meet some day...some way. Winston is doing great...just a little bit chubby. He is well over 8 pounds, almost 9...and it shows. But on the other hand his blood sugar is staying up...so...what to do? My boy, Winston that is, turns 4 years old on Monday. Geez, I can't hardly believe it. I remember bringing him home like it was just yesterday. Gosh, how time flies. I am doing fine...I'm a big girl now, and just need to adjust to a different atmosphere at work. Going from a small office where we were like family, to a large office has been a challenge. Just trying to see where I fit in...if I fit in has been hard. But I will manage...and keep on keeping on, so to speak. |
Hi Wemple, Thanks for asking about my mom!! She is doing good. she came home yesterday afternoon we had to wait an hour to get her medicines filled. and i had to help my aunt decorate our apartment luncheon room in the office for my sisters bridal shower and i had some errands to do today... so i'm just worn down... but i'm glad mom is home and doing really good! |
Amy81, Glad to hear your mom is home and comfortable. We we're asking after her earlierand wondering when we didn't hear from you. Kathy, is the job getting any easier? It surely will soon. It takes a while to learn a new position and feel comfortable in it and if its an environment that so much larger, I can certainly understand why it might be somewhat overwhelming. Just got home from rehearsal, getting a quick bite to eat and off to another rehearsal. Maybe I'll see you later. |
I am so sorry Tink'smom that i haven't posted in a few days... When mom was in the hospital I would go up in the mornings and not come home til evening and i would go and grab us lunch and dinner (can only eat so much hospital food. its nasty) so when i got home. i would take cody out to use the bathroom and play or take him for a walk. that i would be too tired and would go to bed at 8pm sometimes.. so she is home.. she had to come home on insulin cause of the prednisone(steroids). they took a scope down thursday and cleaned all the mucus and stuff out. so she is TONS better... i really appreciate everyone asking about her. and again i'm sorry i havent updated sooner than this. |
Wonderful news about your mom Amy...so glad to hear all is well. Sounds like you've had a busy day...time to get some rest. Susie...I have decided to stick it out at work. It's not that bad...it's just different. Time to adjust to a new way of life. But I do wish it was a smoother transition. But I accepted the job knowing full well what it was like there, as I know plenty of people that work there. I just have to learn how to not take things so personally. It's going to be fine...can't say "I love it"...but, it's a job. |

I caught up on my rest this weekend... well yesterday lol. saturday i had my sisters bridal shower. and all went well with that. so yesterday i slept most all day on and off. today is laundry day. and it's starting to storm |
