Yes craving ice is a sign of an iron deficiency. I have always loved to eat ice, but for awhile I was just craving it and couldn't get enough of it. My boss kept saying that is a sign of something but I can't remember what. Then when I went in for my treatment, they did bloodwork, and the first thing the dr asked was do you eat a lot of ice  he said my bloodcount and iron was incredibly low, so I had to take iron pills. Gina..you just need to go to the pharmacy and get some over the counter iron pills. |
The ice-craving thing happened to me, too, years ago. I had no idea it meant anything, or that I was starving myself because I was too busy eating ice to eat food. Dr. said that ice-craving is a definite sign of severe iron deficiency. There's no medical relation to iron deficiency and ice, nor any scientific explanation. It just .....IS. |
Ya'll are might chatty here today without me. |
Talking about ice and all.. |

Only because Gina is afraid to drive on the interstate and shuts her eyes. |
I am an excellent driver. X-so-lent. LOL.... |
Thankfully Alexandria/D.C. has LOTS of public transportation so we shouldn't need a driver- drunk or sober! Why is Gina afraid of the interstate? More people have accidents on back roads and side streets than on the interstate. |
