Your boss sounds like a real winner. You should get a job with the state. One day all but 1 of the bathrooms were out in the building so they let everyone go home for the day. :eek: I mean I know a lot of people work here but the bathroom has 4 stalls. Can't we just take turns? :confused:

We also get off half a day the day before a holiday AND we get off on days like Confederate Memorial Day!

Oh for pete's sake...I share a single bathroom with MEN. I should get the day off every day.

When we first moved into this building...there was no heat. I had portable heaters and wore a coat all day. The newspaper publishes a picture of city workers wearing coats...cause...oh my goodness...the heat had gone out. What dedicated workers...wearing their coats with no heat...and I thought....big deal I've been doing that for 6 months...never got my picture in the paper. :rolleyes:

In my bosses defense..:rolleyes: I work at an Auto Body Repair shop.. so when the snow and especially ICE hits.. the tow trucks start pullin' them in here.

To be honest I thought it was a little silly myself. I had work to do, so I just stayed up here. But everyone else left! Technically the boss said if its a problem for you then you can go on home. He didn't say, "You must evacuate the building!" But these people have no shame...

I'm sorry you didn't get your picture in the paper Deb! Maybe you should start your own inner office newsletter and write a story about your tireless dedication?

It's 53 in Madison today. I'm sitting at my desk shivering because they have the air conditioner going. Which I know because they just recently bumped me to a new cubicle directly under an air vent.

If you were me, you would hate you too. LOL! :p

Even if I could reach them (I'm 5'2 and the ceilings are 12 ft), they aren't the kind you can open and close.
