I told that to my Mom, when she told me she saw it ( a picture) I said " did they put it in a jar, for me to take home?" She said " Now WHY, would you want that?"

One of the funniest things dd ever said to me wasn't about school, but about spankings. Yes, we spanked at our house....I think she got a lifetime total of 5, compared to the 5 hundred million I received, and it had to be a big transgression to warrant a spanking. So she and I take the long walk down the hall (imagine Johnny Cash singing...a warden lead a prisoner, down the hallway to his doom...) to her room, get there and she says...momma, look I'll spank ME, and I'll do it really hard. She leans over and pops her butt with her hand. Of course, I laughed....no spanking that day. Another instance...same walk...get to her room....she's says momma remember one time I was gonna get a spanking and said something that made you laugh and I didn't get one? Yes I remember....quickly she says "what'd I say". Gonna use that line one more time ;) Another spanking diverted

To sell it on eBay, don't she know nufin'?!?!? If someone can sell Brittney Spear's chewed gum or Elvis toenail clippings....imagine what that tumor would'd got ya...would almost make up for all those toys your mother threw in the trash ;)

Yes, he is my oldest. Senoritis, badly but he keeps saying he needs to remember he still has 2 months of school left. My youngest is 9 so I still have a looong way to go before I have the emty nest.

I just reserved a beach house for vacation!!! Yipee!! I'm so excited!!! Bonnie gets to go with us and it isn't near Disney, which means I don't have to go there...so all in all it shoud be a great vacation!!! See pics below!!

Yea, and the last two months are the best!!!!

I got lucky,only one out of the five have left our nest.
One more year of Pre Med and our son will be on his way :(
I wish he would stay!!!!!

My oldest son works at Disney so we end up there a few times a year. It would be OK if they would go off on their own and let Dad and I just stroll, but they think we all have to be together :rolleyes: and it is like a footrace all over the parks to get from one popular ride to the next.
He just opened the new ride at Animal Kingdom, Expedition Everest which is a roller coaster, so I'm sure we'll have to go so hubby and the other 2 boys can ride it...just glad I don't have to pay when we go!!

Sounds like you guys have alot of fun! I have never been but always wanted to go. The beach house is beautiful!

Your dad was right! I kept journals for my kids when they were little, but I didn't write near enough. sometimes when I look back at them I can't even remember the story as I read it!
Here is my favorite one of my kids:
When Kevin was in 4th grade he and Megan (2nd grade) wanted to walk home from school.. It's only about a quarter of a mile and there are crossing guards at the busy street, so I said yes. I warned them that they had to cross at the crossing guard station, no where else. Well, they made it home alive, I asked how it went and heard "fine". The next day I saw the crossing guard and she tells me how my kids scared her to death because she saw them cross the busy street a couple of blocks away. I went home and was going to kill my son. I said "Why didn't you go up by the crossing guard to cross Main St." Well, they made the street one way so that cars didn't go past the school on that side, and my kids didn't go up that street because "Mom, we wanted to go that way but the sign said DO NOT ENTER"

:sidesplt: Oh...talking about bodyparts, can't believe I forgot this one. My Mom had her leg amputated and had a prothesis. One day she had gone to rehab, and had the prothesis in the backseat of her car. On the way home she saw a friend out working in their yard, so she stops to talk to them. She is sitting in her car with the door open and the friends 4 yr old granddaughter walks over and looks at her and says "Where is your leg?" my Mom says "It is in the backseat" :eek: The little girl just says OK and walks away like that is normal!! It was so funny.
When Mom passed away, we were cleaning out her house and she had 3 prothesis at least (don't know why, she never wore any of them, she could get around better in a wheelchair) anyhoo...we tried to talk the grandchildren into keeping them and making a table out of them for the dorm rooms so they would have something to remember Nanny by! Needless to say they said "NO!" (yes my whole family has a odd sense of humor)

I'd rather have the spanking...remember when I got too old for spankings...first restriction...I thought...just spank me, get it over with so I can go outside :rolleyes: My mother used to use the paddle from that paddle ball game. We'd throw it away....she'd bring another in from the next trip to the store....snatch that elastic and ball right off...won't be needing those :rolleyes: My father would swear we NEVER got spankings...he was delusional....every night at dinner....TWO people got spankings. One for mis-behaving and one for laughing cause the other was gonna get a spanking :rolleyes:
