Lot of hoopla for a 120 second race |
Yep, but today we Are cold and wet! Lots of mud:D |
Better then lots of snow :( |
lol Cody is dreaming besides me and making little yelping sounds. So cute, I put my hand on him lightly to get him out of it. I wonder what they dream about lol. |
Does he ever moan or maybe, it's a howl while he sleeps? |
you're up early lol Yes he moans and howls, the howls are like a death howl and that scares me. Many years ago when I had 2 girls my older one (13 yo) was very sick when I came home from work, I called my vet, they are 24/7 told them what was happening, they said get her in now, we were under a very heavy snow storm and my vet is a 35 minute drive, I scooped her up and headed to the door, my 5 yo yorkie let out this death howl, something she never did in her life. In a nut she my 13 yo never came home, 5 days at the vet her kidneys were failing, I had to put her down. My 5 yo knew her sister was dying, reason for the death howl, I have never forgotten that night, Cody has done that death howl in his sleep 3 times while I am asleep, scares the crap out of me and I make him wake up. Again, I wonder what makes them do that and can dogs have dreams? |
I've been up since 4:30. Got heartburn from something I ate from BK ugh. Strange to think of our furkids having bad dreams :( |
Sorry to hear that, do you keep Pepto-bismol on hand? I hardly eat BK or MD for that reason. Yeah Cody has a lot of them, my girls never did. |
I put some baking soda in water and it seems to have taken care of it.... Dexter wouldn't stay in bed after he knew I got up he started whimpering |
Gee I never hear of baking soda and water,I learn something new everyday lol. Cody use to get out of bed when I wake up at 3:30 / 4:30am, he thought I was up it was time for him to eat.....NOT... he eats at 6:30am he has learned to stay in bed lol. Now that it's light at 5:45 he thinks it breakfast time so I have to listen to the whining even when I have told him 100 times "it's not time, you have to wait" I cave in to him at 6:10 lol. |
What type of food do you feed him? I fill up a bowl of dry food and Dexter eats it whenever. The baking soda does a good job One of the ways to treat acid reflux is with antacids. Baking soda, AKA sodium bicarbonate, is a natural antacid. If you drink a teaspoon of baking soda dissolved in 8 ounces of water, it can neutralize stomach acid and temporarily alleviate heartburn caused by acid reflux. |
I'll have to save your tip and put it on my fridge. Cody is 12 pounds, he's on a food schedule as all my dogs were. Morning feed at 6:30, night at 4:30 it use to be 7am and 5pm, HE changed the time lol. I feed him Wellness kibble, no free feeding, he gets 2/3 cup per day, I split it into 2 feeding. If I gave the full amount in the morning he would eat the entire down and be looking to eat at night lol. |
Lol You should call him porky ;) |
He's not fat, he's tall, he would be a porky if I fed him every time he wanted to eat lol. |
As active as yorkie she are, I don't know how they could get fat |
My boy is adopted. He was bought for an 8 yo little girl whose parents were going through a divorce. The two grandmothers pitched in and bought the little girl the dog to help ease the pain of daddy not being there all the time. This dog had no toys because the child was to be his toy. I believe they did not allow him to have the puppy zoomies, did not allow him to entertain himself. This child carried this dog as a puppy in her arms as you would hold a infant. I got him when he was 2 1/2 yo, he would flip himself over in my arms, that's how I know that's how he was carried around. He never lived a life of a puppy, was not allowed to. He was crated all day while the child was in school and the mom worked. I am still in contact with one of the grandmothers and the little girl who is now 14 yo, she was 11 when her mother surrendered him. I found out much about his past. I also send pics to the child and the grandmother every 6 months to show the child what an excellent life he has, so the child knows he is in an excellent and loving home. I tell you this because Cody is not a wild child like my girls were. He is very calm in the house, he learned how to play with toys, he leaned how to chew on chew things, all things he never had with the prev. owner. When I take him to the yard is when the yorkie spirit comes out lol. In the winter I do not go in the yard a lot due to snow and ice so he is not very active in the winter months, Spring, Summer and Fall is when he's in the yard, I get him out several times a day and he runs like the wind. He is not your average yorkie, meaning he doesn't get into mischief, but he does shred tissues and napkins if he gets hold of them. He is not crazy active in the house. He really is a perfect boy, just not animal friendly lol. |
Dexter will shred something up cause he knows I'll trade him for a napkin etc. for a carrot. Anything leaf or whatever, he likes to drag in after going out to water the plants for a treat Sigh |
lol, he's a yorkie. |
9 lb. hairball that rules the block |
Big dog attitude locked in a small body lol |
The lil girl I had was a lot quieter and wasn't as aggressive |
I had a pack of 3 girls all 3 years apart, they were tomboys, wild zooming babies, I loved their crazy wildness. There wasn't a day they didn't have me laughing. This boy is so quiet compared to my girls. |
I can't even imagine having more then one lil boy!! Where did they sleep? |
I only listen to Ozzy songs, j/k ;-) |

I can't even fathom having three dexters in my bed at the same time. We have a ritual every night. He rolls over and I have to rub his belly before he goes to sleep |
lol, it's what you get use to, my girls were no trouble, and having 3 little bodies pressed against you at bed time to me is so comforting. I miss my pack but am very happy with my lil boy. :) |
Does he grumble if you move? Dexter starts growling :( |
No not at all. I have a queen size bed so there\'s plenty of room. Besides he has a puppy cut, gets chilly and sleeps under the blankets pressed against me. Years back when I was married I had a poodle that would growl if either my husband or I touched her by accident with our foot lol. She slept at the bottom of the bed. |
At least, I don\'t toss and turn all night :( |
