I confess that I am ridiculously excited for tonight!! :D :D :D I'm going to New York by myself which my parents have FINALLY started letting me do after begging them for a year and a half. When I get there, I'm meeting up with my friend Cate and we're going to see Phantom of the Opera. :) She knows the guy playing Phantom and the alternate for Christine, so we'll be going backstage after the show (barring any unforseen circumstances, of course). I AM SO PSYCHED. My DREAM has been to go backstage at a Broadway show for my entire life!! ahhhh. Kay. I'm calm now. Thanks. :P |
I confess I know how you feel. Several years ago I (and a group of high school drama students from VA) saw the Phantom. It was awesome!! We, too, got to go back stage and had a Q & A with some of the cast and the director.....I can't describe how wonderful that was! The students really enjoyed the whole NYC experience, but the plays are the best! Over the years, we have done this several times and seen 6 Broadway plays....Wicked was my fav! ENJOY! |
I confess that I have never been to New York City  |
I confess I love NYC, but wouldn't want to live there...too busy! |
I confess I was once an hour away visiting a friend but she wouldn't go with me  |
I confess the only time I was in NYC was on a layover from London (Heathrow) back to home (LAX) Someone decided the windsheild on the plane needed to be replaced, so we had to wait 3 hrs for it to be changed. We got about $10 per person food credit while we were waiting. My dad got ALL CHOCOLATE!!! LOL :D |
I confess the biggest city I have been to is New Orleans on class trip back in the late 70's. We had a blast. That was the last trip our high school had.(what were they thinking turning loose a bunch of nearly 18 year olds on Bourbon St.!!!) |

I confess that I had better get busy if I am going to lose 10 pounds before we go to Zihuatanejo for Thanksgiving:eek: Where did the time go:D |
I confess we were offered two free tickets to Phantom of the Opera and we'd just got into town the night before. I was tired but would have gone but hubby wouldn't. :( |

Now...PLEASE come back and share all the juicy details of your adventure for all of us less than fortunate...pretty please? :hands: |
I confess that it made me smile that after my post the entire page was about New York. :p :p :p And I confess that I would drop everything and move to New York tomorrow without a second thought if I..you know...was of legal age. and such. Can I share details!? LOL. I don't want to come off as obnoxious but I'm dyinggg to talk about it. :p It was the BEST night of.my.life. The show was UNBELIEVABLE. We were in the last row of the theatre - we must've climbed 100 steps. Our legs were crying hahaha. So after the show we went backstage and I felt all cool walking into the stage door. :p We told the guy we were there to see Kimmilie, who was the Christine alt. He told us to go up to her dressing room. She had some family members in with her, so we kinda hung back and observed. She took us to the wig room and costume room, SO COOL. Her heaviest costume is THREE.HUNDRED.POUNDS. OMG. and she probably weighs all of 80 pounds!! I don't know how she does it!! then we met up with John (who played the Phantom) and he took us on stage. Now. When we got out on stage, my jaw hit the floor and I stood there looking out at the House with tears in my eyes. Not even joking. and then he talked with us for like half an hour and he was telling us how he's not sure how if he's gonna have a job come spring and how stressful it is cause they never really know what's going to happen job-wise, and I was thinking, "WHAT am I trying to get myself into?" (carreer-wise). and then I turned around and looked out towards the House again and it TOTALLY dawned on me that it doesn't even matter if I have to live on ramen noodles and NYC tap water when I move to New York, because looking out at that everynight and feeling that every night would be worth EVERYTHING. Then he walked us out and he got in his car and went home and we high tailed it to the train station and we came home! :) Thank you for letting me ramble. :p I was a very happy camper. I confess I now feel bad because I talked too much. *blushes* |
I confess I'm on a low carb diet and I confess that is working because today I went to the supermarket and when I got off the store I saw my train coming and I decide to run but I was using my 2 arms holding the grocerys when my pants went down...... I confess that everybody around there now knows how half of my a$$ looks like:eek: |
I confess it's been a very rough week and a half. |
