It’s -3 last I looked a few minutes ago. Maybe, an inch of snow Brrr |
No snow squall yesterday on the mountain yesterday. Calling for 1 to 3" of snow tonight into tomorrow ending at 1PM. I'm rooting for the 1". |
I don’t know if we got over an inch of snow last year. I was wrong about yesterday. It’s just enough snow to cover the ground |
I've been snow bound seems like for eons The 16th we got 6" of snow the 19th 5" Even tho my driveway is plowed I have to shovel out two vehicles and front of the house plus the back deck. Also clear snow off two vehicles then shovel that mess. I'm all shoveled out lol. |
That’s more snow then we will get the whole winter here more than likely |
Winter of 2022 and beginning of 2023 were unusually mild, very little snow, again unusual. What snow that fell melted. I had my driveway plowed once both years. December and January of 2024 started off extremely mild with temps of high 40's and mid 50's. I thought we would low amounts of snow. In 12 days we have had 3 snow falls totaling 23 1/2 inches of snow, and we still have to get through Feb. and March. March is a treacherous month for snow falls. I'm in a tourist town, many ski hotels and lodges, they lost a lot of money due to no snow= no skiers. I'm sure they recouped that loss over these last 12 days and with frigid temps they can blow snow, so I'm glad for the hotels, lodgers and the tourist that love to ski. Not happy about all the snow I have to shovel tho, lol. |
We’re still in a moderate drought. Any rain or snow would be nice |
Wish I could wiggle my nose and send some of this snow and rain your way. |
Nice try Samantha Mid 40’s here for the next ten days. Some rain later today |
These temps are crazy. Next 10 days temps all in the 40's, Thursday to be 50. I put my bird feeders out bout 2 weeks ago when it was quite cold. Now with these warmer temps I hope the bears don't come out of hibernation and destroy the feeders. |
Whoa You got bears close by? |
2 Attachment(s) Yep, coyotes and fox too. This guy was in my neighbors yard for 45 minutes about 100 feet from my deck. He's the only one that has ever been close and hung around for me to snap many photos. They are not afraid of ppl, I bang a couple of pots together and they meander back into the woods. |
How cool How close are you to town? My little town was built in a river valley. We have deer and fox running around the woods in town. |
Town lol, I live on a mountain in a heavily wooded area. Town is maybe 20 miles or so away. I have no back yard fence, my yard is filled with deer all day due to the bird feeders. The feeders are hung from tree branches 12 to 15 feet from the ground. Deer will stand on their hind legs to get to the feeders. Every so often we have Bob cat visits. I have only seen them via my cameras never in person. |
Used to see bobcats where I work on edge of town. I never saw them before that. I hope they are still around. Been quite a while since I worked there |
