I woke up this morning and the entire sub was icy and snow was blowing everywhere. i had to take my mom to a doc appointment and by the time I drove 1 mile from the house the roads were completely dry. And then 10 miles later I hit a white out where I couldn't see 50 feet in front of my car. 2 miles later clear as day and dry again. Typical Michigan weather. |
I'd say move south but they're getting snow there as well and no equipment to remove it |
I have lived in Michigan all my life and snow is just a normal part of living here. We get 6 inch snow falls and a few people might call in to work but the vast majority show up and life continues. I have a nephew who moved to Tennessee and he tells me that if they get a half inch of snow everything shuts down. We salt our streets and driving is fine. They throw sand down which I have no idea what that does. I want to move to Aruba. With an average rainfall of less than 20 inches a year, an average daytime temperature of 82° Fahrenheit (27° Celsius), a location completely outside the hurricane belt, and the constant cooling influence of the trade winds, Aruba is one of the most temperate islands in the Caribbean. |
A YT member living in SC said they are expecting snow Sat. ppl were going CRAZY buying food at supermarkets. Hope you guys don't get what we just had this past Friday. I can actually see my driveway now  |
Only got an inch an a half here |
we did'nt get much but it is very cold |
It's not that bad for January |
I can't believe I am STILL up, I just let Cody out and unless someone tore up pillows with feathers and scattered them in my yard I'd say it snowed AGAIN. Just as I was able to see it bit of ground it's all covered in snow. Got about an inch, hopefully it will melt if the sun comes out. :( |
Nothing is going to melt fast here today it was 4' when I got up |
24 here but I see some is melting on the driveway, it's nice and sunny. |
We warmed up to 5 now |
5  we hit 29 the sun was out all day melted snow on the driveway, froze what is on the deck, I can see patches of earth in the back yard. High temps this week 29, still better then snow :) |
29? I'd be in shorts! We are in the teens for a high, single digits for a low |
About the same here |
