I’ll be enjoying the weather this week winning |
You mean while I am winning. :) |
While you’re working I’ll be winning |
Working and winning. I deserve a raise! |
There aren’t any raises in retirement :( |
I just hope I make it there one day |
Me too There was a guy I worked with. He was still working at almost 75. He took ill and the Dr. Wouldn’t let him go back to work. He died the week after my mom did. Shortly there after I was reading the book of Ecclesiastes. He toiled until almost the day he died. In the end, his kids will spend his money. I always told my mom, you don’t have to leave me anything, just don’t leave me any debts. :( We did take care of her funeral arrangements before she died. We didn’t have a headstone picked out. I found this on amazon for a modest price https://preview.ibb.co/kV8PZH/D16_CC...83_CF95367.jpg I just got back from the cemetery after burying her urn and laying her stone |
It's a beautiful stone. I am sure she would have loved it. We just picked the stone 2 weeks ago. We were told about 8 weeks before it arrives. Mom had 30 years of retirement and she made the most of it. She retired at 65 and immediately took some classes at the local community college and pulled straight A's. Got to see her grand kids and great grand kids grow up. |
Bless her heart. <3 |
Good morning sunshine :) |
Beautiful day here too. And winning makes it that much nicer! :) |
I’ve got the pool open and Dexter and I are sitting at the patio table now enjoying winning |
OK I'll give you the win for being at the pool while I am working  but I am taking the win here. ;) |
Went to St. Louis to watch a ball game. My mom was a big baseball fan, I sprinkled some of her ashes on the field |
That is awesome! She would have loved it. Just don't get arrested doing it! |
We were pretty careful sprinkling the ashes Got a little left to sprinkle over my grand parents |
Funny how thoughts change during the course of your life. When I was young my main thought was where would I get my next beer. Then you get older and it was how do I get all my bills paid. After mom died I have actually thought about what do I want to happen to me after I die. Plot next to mom and dad? Sprinkled on a golf course? Hopefully I have some time left to figure it out. |
A morbid thought here My only concern is dying alone. I’m donating my body to science. They create the body after they are done. The ashes will be sent back if, the family wants them. Hopefully we all have time to get all of our arrangements made. This was a trying ordeal for me. I had family members second guessing my decisions which were all on my shoulders and that pi$$ed me off needless to say. Ever notice all the people that want to tell you what you need to do without asking for their advice?? |

Tensions always seem to be high at funerals weddings etc. I don’t really have a problem with control freaks as long as they are putting forth effort. I get miffed at the people that don’t lift a finger but love to tell you what to do. I’ve noticed, every organization I’ve ever been involved with, you have a handful of people always doing the work while a lot stand around |
Sounds like my job! :) |
It was really prevalent where I used to work especially, when we had inventory |
I am the winner :) |
Don't you mean "was"? |
No ;) right now |
right when? :D |
Nice of y’all to stop by while I’m on the throne to pay me homage |
winning |
