It was only small hail here. Frisco got it the worst. A few miles from us. I had finally gone to bed, then the pounding on the windows started. Thought the spiders were coming to get me, but it was only hail. LOL |

Did you order bike parts off Amazon |
Unfortunately, yes. Those that I ordered from Europe, with the exception of one, are here. Those that I ordered from Amazon itself all came same or next day. Those that I ordered from Amazon private sellers have been a hassle. I've been on the phone with UPS and USPS all morning and yesterday afternoon trying to straighten out their goofs with my address. It's not entirely their fault as Amazon no longer allows sellers to use their API to snag the address without paying a premium to them. Sellers are now hand-typing the address and evidently they can't do it and don't bother to check that they typed it correctly. |
Fools used "Surepost" which is the dumbest way to ship. UPS hands package off to post office. Since it is handed off, one cannot call UPS to fix mistakes. It took me six calls to UPS to find somebody to snag the package when it gets returned to them from the post office to fix the address and deliver it to me. Added two extra days, but at least UPS finally DID agree to snag it. They said only the shipper could change the address and the shipper refused to do it for me. Moral to the story, never purchase something from Amazon from a seller that uses UPS Surepost. You can discern it as the delivery day will be a week to 10 days as opposed to just a few. |
Amazon gave me my mon3y back the last order I had with them. It seems, there has been numerous bogus sellers on there of late offering lower prices and not delivering. The package I ordered was supposed to come from China. Had I known it wasn't from the states I'd of never ordered it. Anyway, the tracking was showing my order going to two different locations. At least Amazon gave me my money back |
The deliver date for Chinese or other non-US sellers show a month as the delivery date. Unless they lied, of course. Amazon is good at kicking out the liars. On the whole, Amazon does an exceptional job. They've always refunded me or reshipped if possible if they goof something up. The private sellers can be a PITA, but Amazon will make it good. I intend to call Amazon and complain about my seller, but I doubt they'll do anything as the seller is a huge company that does tons of business on Amazon. It has to be bad for me to complain as I used to sell on Amazon before we stopped selling to individuals and went to wholesale only. I understand the sellers have a tough job dealing with customers, but when it's one's own mistake, one has to make it good ASAP. Not just say, "Sorry. Can't do anything about it.", because one is too lazy to place a phone call. |

I'm beginning to wonder. Just got off the phone with UPS again. Package wasn't delivered. They still didn't change the address! Supposedly it will be delivered tomorrow with the correct address. |

Not through Amazon. They have several shops in the area where I purchase parts if I need them quickly. The part I needed was being sold only via Amazon; so I stupidly ordered from there. Had I known it would be such a hassle, I would have gone ahead an ordered it from England. LOL |
