I sure do. I lived in Mt. Vernon when I was teeny weeny, 2-5. My dad pastored a church there. That was back when you could walk the streets at night. LOL!:D We used to drive over to Vandalia to a Jewelry shop downtown that had a Clam shell in the window that opened up to show jewelry. A pearl necklace, swimming fish and a diver and some other things too. The highlight of my week after church on Sunday. |
Hmm Trying to think what shop that was. Not much going on in vandalia after dark uptown unless it's at the taverns :( I don't make it down to My. Vernon too often to know what's going on there |
Haven't been in Illinois for a couple of years. Lived in Wisconsin for 35 and then came to Texas 7 yrs ago. Family still in Illinois. Nice to meet you!:) |

I tried to get my Tink to wear boots when we lived further North but she would have none of it. LOL Saw a big lab wearing sneakers out on the bike trails over the weekend. I didn't know they had such things! My Tink could use a pair for the summer walks when the concrete boils, but I doubt I could get her to wear them. |
I put little pad savers on Tink in the summer here cause it's soooo hot. They look like balloons when you take them out of the package. Just roll them down and then roll them up over their paws. It takes a bit to get used to but it really does help. I can't remember the name of them. I'll go look. |

They come in different colors and sizes depending on where you get them. Petco used to carry them but I don't find them there anyore. Or you could just try some little doggie socks with the grippers on the bottom. I have those for my boxers so they don't do the spits on the tiled floors. So it looks like I'm still winning. Tee hee!:cool: |
