Wow....that's a big open-ended question. I see lots of possibilities in my future....I see two yorkie babies and a loving 12 lb kitty getting spoiled to the ends of the earth. I see a successful career in Real Estate that keeps growing and growing. I see a baby someday to love and care for and teach the ways of the world as best I can. I see lots of friends and a family who loves me to share life's experiences. I perhaps see someone to share my life with and grow old with but that one has seemed cloudy for quite some time now. I see a network of wonderful friends on YT growing stronger and closer with time. Who really knows tho? What is one thing that you truly thought you would have done or accomplished by now but haven't?.....do you think you still will? |
Wow Sloan that's an awesome question. Since I'm young, there's not much I was planning to have accomplished this far that I haven't managed to (not meaning that I'm an over achiever by any means lol, just meaning that I haven't really had enough time yet). Hmm...I really honestly thought I'd have a horse by the time I was 15. I've been riding since I was 6 or 7 and I've been planning to have one this whole time (and before that, even). I know how expensive it is and everything, but I want it sooo bad that that doesn't even really matter, you know? So yeah, I really honestly truly thought I'd have a horse by now. As far as still getting one, I don't really know. I have a job and I could probably pay to take care of it if I REALLY didn't spend a cent of my money. But I'm looking into the future, and if that looks how I want it to, there won't be time or a place for me to have a horse, and that would be seriously unfair to any horse i may get. So while I'd like to say YES I absolutely still think it will happen, I'm going to say I really don't know and probably not. and that just made me seriously depressed lol. wow. That was long lol. I want to continue on with the deep questions. HMMM.... What is your biggest regret to date? Even if you don't really have any regrets, looking back, if you could do one thing over, what would it be? |
live for the moment and not always plan for the future. And learn to follow my own heart rather than do what is expected of me. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? |
Umm... I would change being so nervous. If you could have anything in the world, what would it be? |
Peace At what age were you the most carefree? |
32 who was the relative you felt the closest to and why? |
I'm going to go outside of my parents for this one (cause I think they're kind of the obvious answer). I have 2 that I just cannot pick between. One is my Aunt Joanie. She is like another mom (and my cousin is like a little brother lol). I love her SO much and I know I can go to her with anything and she can have a solution. And then the second is my cousin Jennifer. All of my cousins *I have a lot* are a lot older than me (in their 30's+). Jen is too. But she's always kind of been sort of like an older sister to me. I don't know why we're so close, we just are. I look up to her a lot and I just LOVE her. Great question, BTW! OK, if you have kids, what is one thing you always said you would never do/say to your kids that you have ended up doing anyway? |
yelling to get my child up for school.....I remember how much I hated my mom's screeching voice to get up for school or church and vowed I would never do that:rolleyes:....skip forward 27 years later or so and here I am guilty of it also!!! My son can sleep through anything!!;) Who was your favorite teacher and why? |
oooooh TOUGH TOUGH question! I've had soooo many fantastic teachers. Can I do 2? haha. My first one is a regular school teacher and that would be my 6th grade teacher Mrs. Dunn. I loved that woman so much - we all did. At the end of the year she told us that she wouldn't be there the following year because her husband was being transfered to Puerto Rico for 2 years for business. We all SOBBED the day she told us that - it didnt even matter that we wouldn't have been in her class the next year anyway. But she's back now (she lives in CT) and I still email with her all the time. and the other one is my old music teacher, Ms. Feuer. She, my 2 best friends, and I had an incredible bond. I don't know why, but we just clicked with her. She's an INCREDIBLE pianist (she's a composer) and the 3 of us like to sing, so we were just kind of made for each other lol. She left after our 7th grade year (she was "invited to leave" psh). She did AMAZING things for the music program: The chorus that had had like 7 kids in it suddenly had about 80, even the people who didn't like music (is that possible?) enjoyed her class, she was a REAL music teacher, not just some average joe who came in pretending he knew music (like the person who took over for her). She is a HUGEEE inspiration to me - she's the one who basically introduced me to musical theatre and she always told me that I can do it even if I couldn't do it to save my life (which I kind of couldn't then lol) and she basically made me move towards where I've gotten to so far. I have recently gotten in contact with her again - we talk a lot and I just love her. Sorry that was so long haha. If you could bring back one person from your past, who would it be and why? |
thanks Megan for such a great answer! I loved hearing all about your teachers!! Great stories and so great that you keep up with them too!! We just went to Joseph and Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (the county summer musical Evan is in) , and your music teacher reminds me of the fantastic theater/drama director teacher that we so luckily have at our high school! I would so bring back my grandmother Jessie. She died when I was 16 and she was the sweetest kindest person I had ever met....till this day even. I lived around the corner from her growing up and was over there probably even more than I was at home. She gave the best back rub at night and would cut apples for me to eat. She was the first family or friend that I lost, and it probably was the hardest one too. I miss her , and think of how wonderful it would have been for her to know my son.:) Have you ever had "insight" or a premonition that something was going to happen and it did? |
ALL the time. It's kind of creepy, actually. Not usually anything big, just things like where something says "dont' do that" and I do it, and then something goes wrong. One example is with my knee. Back in the beginning of April, I was walking the dog, and I was going to start running, something said (it wasn't just like a suggestion, it was like a command) "Don't run!" and I ran anyway, and I completly screwed up my knee after not even 5 steps. I just finished physical therapy from the same injury on Wendesday and I'm STILL having big problems with it. I just keep saying "WHY did I run? There was no question that I shouldn't have!" I have a hard time listening to those premonitions for some reason. :( I LOVED reading about your grandmother. That is so sweet. I bet you had fun at the show!! I've been singing the music NON-stop since you told me your son was in it lol. Hmm... What has happened in the last 5 years that has affected (effected?) you the most? |
Oh Megan that is so funny about the music.....cause I can't get it out of my head either!!! I love it!! The Pharoh character is the best "Elvis" I have ever heard.......my mom (who grew up with Elvis era ha) said that it was almost eerie he was so similar....Oh what a great job they all did!! The thing that has affected me the most in the past 5 years is really 2 things that occured within a week apart 2 1/2 years ago. My niece who was just 6months old lost her father to cancer ... and a week prior a tornado went thru our area and so very sadly our friend and coworker (she was a dental assistant with us at our office..)who was 8 months pregnant, her 3 year old son, and husband were killed. It was such a sad time:(....both situations were just the worst things you could imagine (scenorios).....We miss them all so much:(. Who has been your best friend and why? |
I'm glad that they were awesome! a lot of people don't like Joseph for some reason, but I don't get that AT ALL cause I could just listen to it/watch it/sing it forever haha. That is SO devestating about your niece's father and your coworker (and her family). :(:( My best, best friend is my frister Jessica. We've known each other since we were probably around 7. It was funny, we were looking at pictures from when we were really little, and we were looking at the one of her at our kindergarten graduation (before we knew each other), and I was in the backround. She was like "so you followed me around then too!" :p I guess she's my best friend just because she's like my sister. We can hate each other one minute and be laughing the next. We pick on each other, we laugh constantly, we fight, and I call her parents "Mom and Dad" on occasion haha and her little brother (12) makes it seem like having a little brother of my own. It's so funny, because we're totally opposite and if we hadn't already been friends we probably wouldn't be. I'm so blessed to have her in my life. Geez! Look at me with the long drawn out answers tonight! sorry!! Are you where you saw yourself being when you were 15 years old? (does that wording make sense?) EDIT: OK I'm changing the wording! When you were 15 years old, did you see yourself being where you are now? |
yes Megan, it makes sense:), and I think that my life is probably pretty much how I pictured it. Nothing too exciting ;)ha, but a good life!! I am blessed. The story of your best friend brought a smile to my face:). You guys are lucky to have each other!! Other than a teacher, who have you looked up to while growing up? |
hmm!! Of COURSE my parents cause they're my parents and they amaze me that they can still love each other so much after 20 years and having 2 teenagers lol. But also I'm going to say Stephanie J. Block (Stephanie J. Block - Welcome). She's a performer on Broadway and I just look up to her so much in general, not just as a performer. I've met her a few times, and from talking with her parents (who are on a few of her sites), I just know that her kind personality is sincere. She's just a beautiful person (inside and out) and she's so humble and down to earth. She's just an wonderful woman (and a freaking awesome performer haha). (OMG - again with the ramblings! I'm so sorry! I need to shut up!) Do you have a favorite quote? What is it? |
Megan, great link to Stephanie Block! I was excited to see who she was...I remember your mom posting saying she was your "idol" who you really looked up to!!:) The golden rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I think our world would be such a better place ...so much more peaceful....if we all only thought of it before our actions. What has been the best day of your life so far? |

I know its the typical answer but I will have to say the day I had both of my children!!!! There have been GREAT days but they take the cake! Nothing beats the first time you see those faces! Can you remember the name of your Third Grade Teacher? |
Yes, Mrs. K. Nobody can say her last name. What's your favorite breed of dog? Besides yorkies. Mine is the dalmatian. |
how can anyone like any other breed once they've had a yorkie??!! lol I like maltese Question: Tell us one thing that you are highly particular about?? For me... its towels and bedsheets... they have to be folded just so, and washed just so, and hung just so, and set up just so. And my cupboards have to be organized in a certain fashion... all the canned goods must be facing front, and all set out in categories. And then there are my dishes... and I guess I could go on and on... I admit that I go a little psycho when it comes order and household... |
Freak. :p Hmm, I'm kinda laid back. I'm not particular about much. I guess if I had to say it would be to buy things based on quality instead of price. I don't go nuts over it, but if it's a decision between a $200 camera and a $1,000 camera, I go for the more expensive one. I want it to work right and I expect it to last. Cheap stuff irritates me. If you could have (or could have had) a million dollar wedding, would you want one? I personally would never go that overboard. |
I am the same way with towels also. Hubby and son cannot understand.....they only fit in their cabinets/shelves according to proper folding protocol;):D!! (Sorry that this has become a bash post for hubby and son but this is what really bothers me:)) Cabinet doors that are left open and toilet paper and paper towels that are not refilled:mad:!!! It only takes a sec and it makes life so much easier for everybody!! Each thing like that adds up over a day...and soon becomes many things to do!!!! What is your favorite movie or play of all time and why? |
