I ban Mike for not only making a lame joke about my signature, but copying a joke he made when I originally changed it months ago.

It may seem a tiny bit self involved that I remember banning thread jokes about me for years after, but that's the kind of dedication it takes to remain the banning thread champ. Which, despite pathetic attempts to steal my title, I am.

I ban QS for thinking you can disappear for FIVE PAGES and retain a title! If Joe Lewis came back today, would he still be champ of the world? NO! Not even if he criticized the person who dethroned him by landing the same punch twice!

I ban Mike for thinking he is the dictator of banning. I think he just likes it too much and his head has gotten too big....we need to put it back to the right size and for picking on QS when he has no ideal why she disappeared for 5 pages.

Oops, how did I miss this? I ban the newbie in the quote above me for not taking me to task for not banning you when you were above me. And I ban Joann for not only not noticing my transgression either but for defending QS for her still mysterious and rude disappearance.

I ban Mike for confusing quantity with quality. To return to your previous metaphor, my thoughtful, well planned bans are TKOs, while your repetitious and high volume bans are the boxing equivalent of slap fights.
