Tonight I am sitting home with Miss Ellie to watch her belly heal.:rolleyes: I refuse to leave her unsupervised til her staples come out. I guess we are getting KFC tonight. Yummy! |

My little boy always has football practice on Friday night then we go out to dinner. I am hoping the practice will be canceled tonight due to the rain. If so, we will rent a movie and order take-out. Keeping my fingers crossed that we get to stay home!!!!!!!!!! |

I am going to a " Moonlight in the Garden" party at our local botanical gardens. It is a full moon tonight so at 6 there is a sundown party and a silent auction with drinks and a light meal then a creative lighting display and dancing under the moon. We have had a ton of rain this hurricane season (sorry I wish we could share, believe me!) so all of our plants are full of blooms, I am very excited! I love to work outside in my yard so this will give me some good ideas I'm sure! I swear Addison thinks she is queen of the jungle! Hope every one has a great weekend and a happy halloween!!!!!!:D |

nothing exciting at all. I was planning on going to the bonfire at school, but it was canceled because of the rain. :( I'm spending a night at home! haha. |
After work I went to get some wrapping paper to wrap my niece's birthday present, took Conner for a walk, wrapped the present, made a card, went out to dinner, went grocery shopping, then to the birthday party. We are now going to watch a movie (We Are Marshall), have coffee then go to bed and get ready for tomorrow (laundry). It is raining here now and the forecast is for rain tomorrow. Looks like we won't be going for a walk tomorrow. It will have to wait until Sunday. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!! |
We ended up getting to go to harvest fest that our city was throwing. Slade was in the costume contest and won 1st place! He got a trophy. There were only two dogs entered though. |

He was a tootsie roll. I sewed the costume for my mom's dog to wear to pet fun day last weekend. I wanted to make Slade a mummy and had bought the gauze to wrap him in, but he wasnt' having any of that, so since it was last minute I just put him in Schatzie's costume. I was a little big, but still cute. |
We went to the Oasis restaurant on Lake Travis in Austin, Texas - an absolute beautiful evening on the lake. We ate outdoors and listened to the coolest band, The Eggmen. They are a Beatles cover band. They dress like the Beatles and speak with an English accent. They aren't British though, as the bass player works for my son-in-law. :cool: They are so good - the first set is the oldest Beatles music, e.g., "I Wanna Hold Your Hand", Twist and Shout" and the like. Then they change into the classic 60's psychodelic clothes, and they play the later Beatles music, e.g., "Hey Jude" and Strawberry Fields Forever". There is a dance floor and lots of people dance. My 11 year old granddaughter and my 11 month old granddaughter both LOVED it! ME TOO! I think I embarrassed the 11 year old though, as I know all the words to the songs and I sing along!!! :D |
