Has anyone ever worn spanx before? Do you love them? I want to buy some, but I want to know what ya'll think about them!

I bought a pair, if you have any tummy you may get "the muffin top" the waist is a little tight. Thought they were ok, a little expensive, I went back to panty hose though. Nice for special occasions maybe. Hope this helps.:)

Me and a friend were just talking about this the other day. I don't have any but she does and she likes them ok. She says it gets annoying

Thanks. My problems are the butt, hips, and thighs... which i've been blessed with from my momma... :D I love them, but some skirts are impossible with them, so I was wondering if it would help...

It might. You can always find a cheap pair and try it to see if it makes a difference.

I got the ones that go all the way up to your boobs, it helps alot when you wear a nice evening dress. Only problem is when you have to use the bathroom, and getting it back up to where it was originally:( You can also try Assets at Target ,same creator but cheaper.

I tried spankxs but just didnt like them...I prefer the pantyhose that are made to wear with capris...

I know Oprah loves them and wears them every day! I've never tried them personally, but I was judging a pageant this summer and one of the other judges had put spanx on for the first time because the pageant director told her she wore them everyday and loved them. Well the lady was just raving about them after she put them on...loved them...said they made her loose two dress sizes

WOW 2 dress sizes! Thats nuts! Yeah I've seen Oprah and Tyra talk about them soo much. I think I'm just going to get them!

I know someone who wore those, she said she needed a shoe horn to get them on ...
and when she removed them it was like watching one of those pop open tube of biscuits........not pretty...

Practice holding your breath & then Good luck...let us know how it goes...

I also have a pair that goes all the way up to the boobs. My pair has a little gusset thingy in the crotch where you can use the bathroom without having to pull them up or down. It seriously does help you lose a dress size. probably not two.

Spanx are supposedly amazing! So I guess I'm trying them! I don't have either one... But. I'm gonna have me some Spanx soon. haha

I wore some for a wedding I was in not long ago when I had to wear a dress that 'fit' a little more snuggly than my everyday clothes. They were expensive....$50 or so I think, but did the trick wonderfully....smoothed and sleeked so that there were no unwanted 'areas' :p when my gal's big day rolled around. I actually think all we bridesmaids has some and you really could NOT tell. Well worth the $$ in my opinion.:)

I bought a pair of the ones that are supposed to be like leggings. I wanted them to wear as Leggings under some longish tops and with boots. They are NOT anything like leggings; they're more like slightly heavier than regular pantyhose, AND they've got the pantyline like pantyhose do. I was extremely disappointed b/c there's no way I can wear them; if I were leaning over and my top pulled up. it would be just like if I were wearing pantyhose with nothing underneath them. And I ran all over town looking for them too, along with them costing about 10 times what a pair of pantyhose would cost (which I never wear either):( .

I have Spanx and LOVE them. I am "skinny" BUT after two kids, there are definitely areas that need some tightening. I wear mine whenever I wear clingy or fitted dresses and skirts. Makes an AMAZING difference in my figure! As for them being too tight..... well, sure, if you get too small of a size. You wouldn't wear a size A pantyhose if you're weight/height says you should wear a size C, would you?? All you really want to do with the Spanx is smooth out the lumps and rolls, not cut off your circulation. ;) I got mine at Nordstrom's (only because I was there with a friend and she said I had to try them) but I've seen much better prices on Ebay. Not sure what other Dept. stores carry them. I'm not sure about losing "two dress sizes" but they surely do help fix the imperfections so that you don't look "lumpy"! I recommend them to all my girlfriends and recently told my boss about them for her son's wedding and she's hooked now!

As for wearing them with jeans...... I'm not sure how well that would work. It would work better if the material of the Spanx was more "silky" but it's not so I'm not sure how well jeans would slide over them. I've never tried it so I might be wrong. The only things I've worn them with were dresses and skirts made with silkier materials. I don't think they'd work real well right up against a material like knit or something either unless you wear a slip also. Then again, I could be wrong.
