Allergies Anyone? Is anyone else having crazy allergies this time of year? I'm allergic to dogs, so I do take daily medication, but most of the time I can miss weeks of my allergy meds before I even start sneezing. Now that fall has hit, I am a constant sneezing, coughing mess despite taking meds every day! I'm taking claritin D... does anyone want to recommend a new allergy med for me? *lol* |

I love fall, but I'm starting to pray for winter so I can breathe again, lol. |
yeah, mine are bothering me too. My boys also have allergies and they are bothered by it too. I guess it's the seaonal stuff - I'm assuming maybe molds do well this time of year? Hope we all feel better soon. :( |
Do you have a really good allergist? They would be able to help you! My 2 DS's have both life threating food allergies and seasonal allergies. Our allergist has spend the past two years, getting the boys allergies under control. I also have seasonal allergies. When we first moved to CA my allergies were so bad I could not leave our apartment! I had to find an allergist with in the first 2 weeks of being here. My boys take a generic brand of clariton. It is called Allerclear from costco. This is was recommended by our allergist. It works great! It is also a gret price. If their allergies are really bad they use flonaze with the allerclear. |
My allergies are killing me right now!Seasonal! |
Mine too! I feel horrible if I forgot to take my medicine. Sometimes I'll even get waken up in the mornings from the pain. |
Seems like everyone is suffering around here. We have not had good rain in months. We need rain badly to wash all this stuff away!! |
Me too. :( My sinus's are draining terribly. I take Claritin D 12 hour for mine. But like someone else said, I usually only have to take one a day, but I've found if I don't take two a day lately, I feel terrible. I hate sinus drainage. :thumbdown |
Mee too. I have been taking Alegra for years...seems to work pretty well as long as I taking it every day. My poor maltese Joey has developed an allergy to GRASS!! How ironic that my dog is allergic to grass. Poor guy has hot spots all over right now. He goes out only to do his business and then back in he comes. |
Oh man, well at least I know I'm not suffering alone :(. I started to freak out that my allergies were getting worse to my dogs, but then I realized that there's no way they would change at the drop of a hat like that! When I would bath them, I would start sneezing and wheezing and all that fun stuff, so then I think I realized it was the outside stuff they were bringing in with them, rather than them. So that was a huge huge relief. I do have an appt w/my regular dr on the 29th and I'm looking to get a refferal to an allergist and possibly start some new medication or something. This coughing/sneezing/itching is driving me absolutely nuts, lol. |
