Teething Baby, New Mom Needs Help !!!! I need help, anyone know any kind of home remidies for a teething baby, Micah is a little over 7 months old, and he's teething so bad, he cryed last night for about six hours, i tried oregal, i walked him, gave him a nice bath, tried to message him, tried the wet cool clothes, he don't like teething toys, i tried a popsicles, rocking him,, gave him a bottle and he threw up on me... he didn't get to bed until 9:30 last night and was up at 3:30 this morning crying again... since they took tylenol off the market, i don't know what to do for the pain,,, any advice from the Mother's out there, i can't go threw another night like this, im at work now and i am so tired.....:( |
ask your dentist and see if he/she will give you any topical ointment. Its similar to oragel, but stronger. My dad is a dentist and he always said that this works:) Hope the baby is feeling better soon:thumbup: |

Hopefully you can find something and get some extra rest tonight!!! |
I wouldn't recommend doing a topical gel, as the rebound pain (when the med wears off) is worse than the original pain. I know this from mine and my friends and family experiencing this:( The best thing I've ever found was a combination of Hyland's teething tablets (homeopathic remedy, you can find these just about anywhere) and a frozen damp washcloth. Just dampen a few washcloths, put each one in it's own baggie and toss into the freezer. Let baby gnaw on one of those for a bit, it's better than the teething rings;) I hope you can get some rest!:D |

Awww bless his heart! I have a 9 month old so I know how ya feel. My son liked popsicles. He hated teething toys. We basically let him relax in the tub, let him have a popsicle and we also gave him a little bit of baby tylenol. That's all that helped us. |

Awww poor baby. We used the teething tablets too. I hate to use the orajel. Do they still have baby motrin on the market? It lasts longer. I wonder if maybe he isn't coming down with something too. I hope he feels better soon:( |

i feel better now... Thanks to all my Yorkie mommy's out there.. I knew i would get good answers on here !!!!!!! Plus i'm going to check and see if they still have Motrin, i have to call the pediatrician back and see what the dose is for that too.... My pediatrician knows im a pain in the butt, but I rather be safe than sorry..... |
That bit of tylenol or motrin is going to do so much for him. I would give him the dose your doc tells you. It's based on weight so if you don't give him the full amount needed, it won't last as long. The tablets i think did calm my babies down a bit but i always gave tylenol or motrin when they were in that kind of pain and i know that is what helped the most. |
