Prayers For Firefighters In Calif. Please keep those in the areas of all these fires in your prayers. We just now heard that another has broke out in Orange County. We are all okay here but south of us is really bad. All the fire fighters really need our prayers and also pray for the winds to dye down. Patti and Jack |
I'm praying for more rain too. These winds can really fan those fires. We've had three days of very windy days, but no fires so far. |
I hope all of you CA YTers in that area stay safe too |
Prayers from Northern CA sending to Southern CA. Wish we could send some of our rain as well!!:animal-pa |
We are getting ashes and smoke from the Orange County fire. The fire is about 10 miles to the South/East of us. - Just checked the wind and it's blowing North/West so that explains the smoke & ash. I've got the A/C going to keep the air clear and will have it on all day tomorrow while I'm at work for the "Girls". I hope the traffic won't be too bad because of the fire... Wind is terrible! I'm more worried about losing power! Got the hand crank radio out & ready, candles on stand by and hanging out with you guys! Rain would be soooooooooo freaking welcome right now - We are supposed to be in the 90's tomorrow    |
Thoughts for all affected are coming from norcal to socal. I lived in Northridge during a few horrible fire seasons, it stinks. Stay inside as much as possible and don't exercise outside. |

It is so sad to look at all the fires about. We have heard that there is one now at the base of Bouquet Canyon :( we are watching real close all about us, it is beautiful living in the mountains and having the view of the valley but then when things like this happen it is a very uncomfortable feeling. I am so thankful that I have done all the weed wacking clearing all around our place and then some but know of many others that haven't :( with these high winds and the hot embers it just causes these to keep moving on. God keep all the firemen and those working so hard on these fires safe. Pray, pray, pray for the winds to lay down. Patti and Jack |
I knew you would have a thread going somewhere. I just found it! I'm sure praying for you Patti and Jack and for those working tirelessly to help keep you safe. I hope God keeps you and your home safe from these fires and their effects. Heavenly Father, please help Jack and Patti to be safe and healthy and not to worry about their home or themselves. Take care of all their needs and give them peace about this situation. Amen. |
I watched the horror of these fires on TV last night. It's so frightening. Every year the same thing. Prayer's coming for those who are fighting these horrific fires and for you YT'ers who live in the area. Be safe. :hands: :hands: :hands: :hands: |
Prayers for the brave firefighters and everyone in the path of the fires. |
To those here in Calif. A suggestion, keep your a/c going and also if you have weep holes in your windows plug them up and cover all your vents and any exhaust vents (with aluminum foil) that the outside air could come through till this is all over. (Besure to uncover the weep holes in the windows when this is over.) It is all toooooo close, hopefully we will be getting word soon that things are improved. The wind almost knocked me over earlier and it is still just as strong. Anyone that is able to get sandwiches and nourishment to the fire men near you, please do so if you can, we hear many are working non stop and on 24 hour shifts and then some. When we had the fire here near us couple years ago, we made sandwiches and took fruits and bottled water and left it for them to get when they could. They really appreciated it. Praying for things to get better real soon. Patti and Jack |

I was at my parents yesterday and the smoke was awful. We could see the smoke across the bay, but could not figure out where the fire was at first. When we heard it was in Orange we thought of you right away, very happy you are safe. :) Hugs, Janell |
Another Fire Just Broke Out Just heard that the 14 freeway is closed both ways, there is new fire broke out at Sand Canyon and Soledad :( thought I would go to bed but guess not. Will stay up and listen on this. This is so scarey. These fires are so unpredictable. |

I am praying for all of you. "God Please keep everyone Safe" |
We here in California are so grateful to the other states that are sending in man power and everything they are doing to help with getting these fires knocked down. They really have a difficult job with all these high winds. I just heard on the local news that in Ventura the firefighters are now having to deal with over 100 mph winds. I am so thankful that through the years I have been able to get out and weed wack, prune and keep the surroundings around us free from unwanted vegetation. It is a lot of work raking and keeping up but in the long run living in high fire area it is worth every bit of effort and time spent in doing the tasks that are much needed, it helps tremendously to do this. We pray that this will all be under control soon, just heard on the news also that they expect 3/4 million people in San Diego that are evacuated from homes. California needs everyones prayers. PLEASE KEEP THE MUCH NEEDED PRAYERS GOING FOR ALL THOSE AFFECTED WITH THESE FIRE STORMS. Patti and Jack |
Corinne they still have Bouquet Canyon closed, it is very smokey here all day. We took Prairie Bea to the vets to get her shot and then came directly back home. We are very close to the areas that burnt. Our prayers are with all the many many people that have lost their homes and those that were evacutated, praying for all the firemen and those helping to put these out. Off to bed here shortly, much sleep to get caught up on. It is so good to see you back in YT, we sure missed you and have kept you in our prayers that all was well. Corinne the little dress that you had sent is darling and not only did DollieDae get to wear it but now Prairie Bea will be able to:) Thank you again so much for sending it to us. Hugs to you and your girls. Patti and Jack |

Yes the smoke is very thick and I haven't let the girls out since Sunday - I think they are going stir crazy! I'm glad you are getting more use of the dress - It is soooooo cute! Here are some photos to show how bad the smoke has been in Orange County... Today the winds change and is blowing from the ocean towards inland - saw blue skies for the first time since Sunday!
