Sorry I havent been able to write until now. Her mom is furious with me and my friend wants nothing to do with me. I hope she sees it deifferently in the future. she wont even tell me what happened.

I'm sorry she's angry at you. You may have saved her from being seriously hurt though so you did the right thing. I'm sure she'll see that once everything calms down

I hope she does. She's been my best friend since 4th grade. But I know her and she tends to hold grudges.

Oh, honey, I'm sorry you're going through this. Are you parents home yet? If not, you should probably have someone come over and stay with you. Or call your parents and let them know you're going to a relative/friend's house and that they need to come and get you on their way home. Make sure your doors & windows are locked while you're waiting if you are still home alone. Hopefully things will calm down. It might take a while, but hopefully things will turn out okay. You do need to let your parents know what happened so that they can protect you. You also need to tell them just for your peace of mind, you don't want to keep something like this inside. Get it out and let your parents comfort you. Good luck and keep us posted.

Some fathers have a different way of parenting. Clearly, us strangers, do not have an idea of whats really behind this. This is family crisis, in which I pray and hope that the family alone learns how to come together and solve their issues. The father seems like he is under a whole lot of stress (His family side-- and his own daughters not liking each other... and God knows what else ---maybe work?) Every family has problems and I think the best thing is to stay away from their problems if you are not considered family. Just imagine how much apart the family will be destroy to find out that so and so's friend called the police on the father-- he can possibly be charged and taken away? Oh man, it's gonna lead to a lot of ugly scenes... it's just going to add to it negatively. But that's just how I see... Hope the family learns to cope with their issues... I'm sure they love each other-- but right now it's tough love that the family alone needs to learn to communicate in a 'positive' way to end the problems for once and for all. How about giving your friend some tips to talk to her family? Get them all together' you know?


Anyways, Let's just pray and hope all the best for the family... I know it must be extremely tough, My family had their ups and downs, but love is there to bring us together. Trust me, my fam has been through worse than this.

yes they're home and I told them what happened. They said the same thing, that I did the right thing even if she hates me right now. They also sais I could have called them (but I really didnt want to ruin their day, you know?) and that they're glad I'm okay and proud of me for doing the right thing.

You definetly did the right thing..I dont care HOW stressed out the dad was..there is NO excuse to threaten or lay a hand on another human being..had it been a stranger he would have been hauled off to jail right away for the same things!! How dare he threaten his own daughter like that?? Good for you hun..you DID do the right thing!! Hopefully the family doesnt blow it off and the police do nothing...but you did what you could at the moment...

I know you don't need anyone else to tell you this, but you did the right thing, and I'm proud of you. Some things are more important than whether or not it will upset someone....and helping another human being is one of those. I'm also very relieved that your parents know what's going on now and are supporting you. Hugs!
