Too many Bills?
 
Well I actually don't have that many, but with me trying to build my credit up, and pay off a few things, and Christmas in 10 weeks!!!! And I am wanting to save for a car!!! man, how do you manage? I guess welcome to the real world, right??:rolleyes:

bills...blah LOL I cant believe christmas is in 10 weeks! I hadnt really counted the weeks...man this year flew by!

It is sooo frustrating, you think you have some money saved up and then wham!! something breaks or coms up that needs paying :confused:

10 weeks???? Whoa now that's a wake up call! I'm usually a last minute shopper anyway...

What I do is prioritize what NEEDS to be paid right away and save a little every week - even if it's only $20....it's still something.

Bills!
I was doing mine last night and realized my credit card bill was due in a week
and I had no bill!
I called the card company this am and requested a duplicate telling them
it must have got lost in the mail and I don't want a late fee.
Thinking I was doing the right thing she said there would be a $15.00
charge for the phone call. I said WHAT? Are you people bonkers. I am
asking for a bill so I can pay because the US mail lost it and you are
penilizing me $15.00 to make a phone call on a 800# to request a copy of the orginal bill! She waved the fee but come on.
How rediculious is that? I can't stop thinking about it.
It is Bank of America so I am going to shop around for another carrier
with lose interest. The nerve!:mad:

I don't want to even think about Christmas! I don't know what we are going to do either. Plus, now with me being sick, and the kids being sick, we are even further behind on everything than we were. I don't think we're ever going to get out of this hole!

That is completely bizarre! I just that's what customers get for trying to be responsible and paying on time! :thumbdown

I would love to just have a simple old fashion christmas, no expensive presents, just something little that shows you care, dinner, and family and of course christmas songs.
now if I can just convince my kids of this idea.

Don't even get me going on BoA--- GRR!

However---you can register to their site online and pay your bill from there.

As you can with most CC companies.

You can check what's going on 24/7 that way!

If you do online banking you can do it there.I use to all the time when I had BOA

Thats how we have done Joshes, UNTIL they want you to save your credit card info and I am NOT doing that with them. I have had my idently stolen 2 times from there. So we just go draw money out then go to boa and pay it.

Yep. I agree!!! We are going to close josh's credit card in a few months. We are just trying to let his credit build up some b4 we go and apply him some where else.

I have my mortgage through Bank of America and they've been pretty good so far...

As for bills, I'm behind on quite a few things due to my husband not paying things and trying to "fix" them without me knowing. So, now I know and believe me, nothing is "fixed" yet, so I'm digging my way out of the hole.

Ways I'm saving are -- cutting back to basic cable, switching to a cheaper landline phone, cell phones are on the lowest plan, making sure i save on electricity and heat where I can (i'm the kind that likes to sleep with all the lights on, lol), dollar store shopping for cleaning supplies, selling things I don't need, ect.

As for Christmas, I'm baking cookies and painting ornaments for everyone and DH and I are doing creative gifts for 20 or under for each other.. and of course we will get the furbabies a little something each. I'm sort of missing the Christmas shopping fever I always get around this time, but I think it will be sort of nice and freeing to make gifts for my family instead of buying. Something different for a change :).

I thought I was the only one! I've been so depressed about money lately. I'm only 19 and have gotten myself into a little credit card debt and I have to pay my car insurance, cell phone and landline/internet on top of that. I'm also paying to have Cocoa trained and its just all adding up! I admit I have been addicted to ebay and order way to much stuff for the furbabies but, now I've got to get myself back on track AND get Christmas gifts for everyone! I'm going to have to cut back on gifts this year.

I cannot begin to tell you how HORRIBLE that bank is!!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! They are KNOWN as the bank of fees! They do VERY well at international banking and VERY VERY poorly at consumer banking! I worked for bank of boston, which was bought by Fleet, which was bought by Bank of America. Bank of Boston was a GREAT bank... FLEET sucked! Bank of America followed suit! I'd get out of that bank if I were you too! They have fees for EVERYTHING... to go see a TELLER they have fees! RIDICULOUS!

they are horrible!!!! Joshs credit card is still with them. I think its time we close it and switch to another bank. I just HATE those ppl!! I haven't EVER paid them a dime in late fees or overdraft!!!

call around local credit unions, they are very helpful with new credit accounts and have great benefits for bank accounts too! I do all my banking with 2 local credit unions and have been very happy with them!

I looked into them for a credit card for me. I will join there if I get the gov job, only bc I would have to change direct deposit form.
