I Won a Disney Dream! OK, so it's not a huge prize, but it made my day...:p :mickey: In conjuction with their Year of a Million Dreams promotion, Disney is granting random 'Dreams' from postcards mailed in. Saturday, we got a knock on the door and the postal worker asked me to sign for a package. I looked down and saw it was from the Disney Dream Team! I opened it and it was a YOMD Pin Lanyard with 2 Collectors Pins. Yay! :yay_jump: I won something! All those postcards paid off! :happyboun OK, OK, it doesn't take much to excite me, huh? |
Congratulations! We LOVE Disney!!! |
I read your topic title and immediately thought you had one a night in the castle or a DVC membership and you're only bragging about a lanyards and pins! :D Just kidding, of course! ETA: How many postcards did you send in? |

We sent in 2-3 a day for the different family members for about 3 1/2 weeks. (Ran out of stamps last week and hadn't bought any more yet.) Actually, it came to hubby, but I'm claiming them. Bought the blank kind used for printers and let the kiddo draw pics in the blank middle part. Yeah, only lanyards and pins, but that beats nothing! I got excited none the less! I didn't expect to win anything from it in a million years! :D |

I've been to Disney World (I never sent in any postcards) twice during YOAMD and haven't won anything! :D I want a DVC! :p Maybe I will when I go in December! ;) |
That's great...I keep on seeing those commercials about spending the night in the Castle....wouldn't that be a blast |

In Aug, she got a few more certificates, plus we got to walk around with a Dream Team member for about 3 hours! The kiddo got to play w/ Peter Pan and Wendy by herself for about 10 min while CM's blocked the path from everyone else. Got to do the same w/ Smee and Hook and Capt' Jack's Asst Mack. We got to take the CM entrance and go on Pirates with her, same with Jungle Cruise where the kid got to 'drive' the boat, then got free ice cream, passed the line for the Carpets and rode them, jumped in front to play w/ Geenie, searched for jewels in the concrete and then were escorted out of the park by her when it was time for our reservations. THAT was a day DD will never forget...she thought she was hot stuff with all the people looking at her! Mary--I saw someone win the castle stay...that's probably as close as we'll get.:p |
