So my day..
 

Has gone GREAT!!!

I had to go to the DMV this moning to renue my liscense, and everything went well, suprisingly!!

THen for the big part, I went to apply for that job. Well you have to fill out a million and one papers, and then when it was time for my typing test the lady froze up the computer :eek: bc she didn't know the correct password. So I had to come back. And I knew the typing test was going to be the hardest part, because you had to be able to type 4700 words an hours, 7 every 10 seconds. Then once I got back the lady explained to me, that I had 2 chances today to take it and if I didn't pass I could come back for up to 2 weeks, and take it once a day, but I had to take my application with me. :( So I was soo nervous going in there to take it. I did the practice test, and did a HORRIBLE job, but once the real test came, I just kept my eyes on the key board and paper, and didn't look at the screen. So once it was done I went and got the lady so she could get my results, and when she came in there she couldn't read what it said, so she printed it out. Then once it printed out she told me I passed!!I was sooooo excited. So shes sending my application to that department. And this job has been open since May!!!! So either they are really picky or can't find the right person. And you don't have to have any college, which I do have some, and with both of my parents in the emergency services I have high chances! So I am super excited.

The lady told me not to expect a call for atleast 2-3 weeks, but my step dad thinks I might get one sooner which will be great!!:D:D:D:D I am jumping around, I am soo excited.

I hope I get it!!! I am not expecting to get a call for a couple weeks, just so I don't get my hopes up. But my phone will def. be stuck to my hip!!! lol

OK - see - I told you that thinking positive thoughts and selling yourself would work. Now just keep invisioning yourself in this job, sitting at your desk, etc., etc., and hopefully you will get this job. Everytime I have invisioned myself in certain situations I have either gotten the job or the house...lol.

My friends and I were going out for lunch, but that didn't work. But tonight I am going out to eat, thats prob it. I went shopping this weekend, and since we are going to the mountains I think I need to stay at home tonight and not do anymore shopping!

Oh wow! It's ALWAYS a good day if you have good luck at the DMV:D . It sounds promising for your job; I hope you get it! I can't believe how competitive the job market is anymore. I'm glad I'm basically retired and not just starting out! Good luck!!!!
