Exciting News!!!
 
Hey everyone
Things have been real busy this past week. I have been on here at all (Sorry) Well, last week I went in to talk to our Pastor and.... I am now the Christian Education Director at my church. I have been a member for over 14 years. I already teach 1st and 2nd grade Sunday School. As well as Missionettes on Wednesday (Stars group 3rd-5th grade). I have been in several meetings and I am so excited to see what God has in store for this new adventure.
It is so exciting I just had to share.

Wow!!! What fantastic news! That is a really important position (doesn't get much more important than molding our youth spiritually) and you must be great at working with kids! :) Congratulations!!! :thumbup:

Thanks everyone for all your kind words. I went to my first staff meeting today. It was awesome. Our Pastor is pretty new and has only been with us for about four months. I have been a member of my church for over 14 years.
I started the job right away. I will be setting up my office soon. That is exciting because we used to have a daycare at the church and I was director and had an office. The funny thing is, I get my office back. Now, what are the odds?? I really missed not being on staff. I have to tell you it has to be God. My Pastor had no idea about my office until I told him.
Although at this time , I do not have children. My husband and I just love kids. This position is exciting because of working with the kids but I will also be very active with the adults.
I am so happy I get to share this excitement with you guys.
I also Thank God for what he is doing in my life.

Congratulations! What a blessing that must be. I wish our church had more of a childrens program. I'd LOVE to work with the kids. :)

Pray about it. I will also pray for you. You never know what God will do if that is the desire of your heart.

Thanks! Our pastor passed away this past February and the church seems so separated. :( I wish it wasn't this way, and I know he would too. We are looking to find a new church, which is hard for me, that is the only church I have known. We went to one a few months back but it was a bigger church and nobody was very personal. Nobody said hi or acknowledged we were even there. Please pray that we can find the right one. I know God will lead us there. :)
