My new friend CoCo!!!
1 Attachment(s) Here’s a pic from my trip to Cancun last weekend. I had so much fun!! This happened the day we got there (Thursday). There’s a guy that walks the beach with “CoCo”, a 23 year-old Chimpanzee. She’s adorable! I’ve always been fascinated with monkeys (doesn’t matter what kind) but have never actually met one until now. It was interesting to say the least! She’s so funny…she knows quite a few “tricks”. When he says “Hang Ten” she does that, when he says “Thumbs” she does a thumbs up with both hands, when he tells her “Fingers” she’ll flip off the camera with both hands. She knows how to show her muscles. It’s too cute!
She actually kind of scared me a little at first because she ran up to me & started to raise her arm like she was going to hit me! But I think she was just excited. After that, when we went to have our picture made, she grabbed my hand and pulled on my arm and the guy told me that she wanted me to sit beside her, so I dropped to my knees. She put one arm around me and patted me on the shoulder, smiled at me, kissed me on the cheek and then with the other hand he told her to put it on my shoulder too (like a hug from the side) and on her way there she copped a feel. Yes, that’s right…I was groped by a Chimp!!! She reached down, gave one a squeeze & then put her hand up on my shoulder. I didn’t think anyone noticed, but one of the people we were with (we were with 30 people from work) asked me if she saw that right later. So then of course everyone wanted to know the story. |
