Prayers please
 
I went to the doctor today, not due to the fact I might be pregnant, but something else. I found a knot on the back of my head a month ago and it's starting to cause some discomfort. Also, I have been losing some of my hair for quite some time now, probably since the beginning of summer, and wanted to let my doctor know. The doctor felt the knot and said it was a swollen lymph node on the back of my head. They swear I have a thyroid problem due to my weight gain and loss of hair so I have to get blood work. I guess with the lymph node as long as it doesn't get bigger it's nothing to worry about. He told me not to mess with it. I'm still concerned though, but I don't wanna let the family know. I'm not worried about the thyroid, just the knot. Anyone else experience this?

I hope they find the cause and that it is something that can easily be fixed. I'm glad that you went to the doctor. I always end up putting things off and hope they'll go away. Let us know what you find out.

I have a knot on the lower back part of my head, and it will only start to hurt if I rub it a lot. I am sorry, I think I would wait to tell my family until I got the blood work back, bc it could be something small.

Yeah my mom, dad, and hubby know. They aren't to concerned. The bloodwork is just for my thyroid, which isn't anything I'm worried about. I'm just worried over the lymph node. :(

I had a bunch of them pop up when I was in my 20's had them all removed but one, they couldnt find anything about them and said they must of been because of a virus or something. the one they left was in the back of my head, and is now gone all the others was in my neck and behind my ear.
keeping you in my prayers. hope it goes away on its own and it turns out to be nothing.

Thanks so much for the much needed prayers. :) Outside of having my son this has been the worst year ever! I feel like I'm cursed. Something bad has happened every month this year. You tell me if I'm just not the bad luck fairy.

January 2007- My son was really sick a couple weeks after he was born
February- My pastor died unexpectedly
March- My moms dad found out he had a brain tumor
April- My dads mom found out she has cancer
May- My mom became really sick
June- I started having awful panic attacks
July- We found out my mom has 3 spots on her breasts and they are really worried about them
August- Found out my mom has Still's Disease
September- Found out my moms sister has colon cancer
October- Now I am have issues with my thyroid & lymph node in my brain

I am in desperate need of prayer. I just can't handle this. :cry8:
