When I first read "won't tip" I was thinking it was saying if you were having a Christmas party and someone was tipsy they couldn't flip into it like a normal tree!! :D

I have seen these in little boutique shops for several years......in there, they don't look too bad, but of course, there are tons of stuff on them and around them...in a house, nope...I just don't see it.......especially in my house....I have a 26 foot sloped ceiling in the living room.....no way!!!

It might look okay if it was hung from the smaller end from the ceiling if you just have to have it off the floor???? Most kids would think it leaves plenty of room for presents...

This HAS become very populay...Believe it or NOT!!!

Evoking a 12th century Central European tradition of hanging a tree from the ceiling at Christmas, THE unique 7' pre-lit fir is inverted to ensure a smaller footprint for less-spacious areas, and allowing more room for the accumulation of presents underneath. Originally designed for specialty stores to display delicate ornaments using a minimum of floor space, the unusual tapering shape allows the tree to stand in places that do not accommodate a traditional holiday tree, such as between two armchairs or in a corner. The trees weighted base provides extra stability to prevent tipping and leaning, and it has 3,700 lifelike PVC branch tips that are carefully pre-strung with 800 bright clear commercial-grade lights. The inverted shape makes it easier to see ornaments, which hang away from the dense needles and do not get lost in the foliage.

I think if you had a small room to put it in it might work out well. I know someone who has one over the dining room table, they even took down the chandelier to put it up. Her husband is a joker and wanted it to be a laugh in the living room and his wife ended up making it a Martha Stewart piece of art. It was so pretty at night but it did not rotate.

OMG I am cracking up! LOL!! You are so funny!! :laugh: Well you know, your thought does make alot of sense though - I can't imagine someone that was tipsy going through THIS tree :D :p There COULD be an issue with them crashing through the presents though, LOL :eek:

Yeah, I think you would have just a *SMALL* problem getting one of these trees up there Jenn - lol!! I too have huge vaulted ceilings on one side of the living room (well, kitchen also) but my Christmas Tree goes on the opposite side of my living room where there is no slope....so I wouldn't have an issue getting it up there - but that's also because I would never have one in my home LOL :yelrotflm

Well you know, you did just make me think of something :) For people who have toddlers (terrible 2's perhaps :eek:) I guess a tree like this would make alot of sense. One thing you wouldn't have to worry about is them pulling the Christmas Tree down on them ;) But then of course you'd have to keep them away from the presents :p

Wow! I guess I understand the concept (sorta, LOL) - but a Christmas Tree hanging from the ceiling is STILL just so crazy to me! :eek: TO ME, it would kinda be like saying, "Well, I really like this house plant but I just don't have room for it on the ground so I'm gonna hang it from the ceiling" LOL. Maybe I'M just the weird one, heck I don't know! :p But honestly I think if I didn't have room for a Christmas Tree on THE FLOOR - I'd just get a small one and sit it on a table or something :p

And then as they got a little older, they'd start going to their friends' houses and asking "what's wrong with your tree? - it's making me dizzy - it's wierd" when they saw a regular one. ;)
