When I first read "won't tip" I was thinking it was saying if you were having a Christmas party and someone was tipsy they couldn't flip into it like a normal tree!! :D |
I have seen these in little boutique shops for several years......in there, they don't look too bad, but of course, there are tons of stuff on them and around them...in a house, nope...I just don't see it.......especially in my house....I have a 26 foot sloped ceiling in the living room.....no way!!! |
 I am so offended by this thread:eek: i own one of these and i adore it:( hahahahaha JUST KIDDING LOL i think it's kinda cool though |
tree It might look okay if it was hung from the smaller end from the ceiling if you just have to have it off the floor???? Most kids would think it leaves plenty of room for presents... |
This HAS become very populay...Believe it or NOT!!! Evoking a 12th century Central European tradition of hanging a tree from the ceiling at Christmas, THE unique 7' pre-lit fir is inverted to ensure a smaller footprint for less-spacious areas, and allowing more room for the accumulation of presents underneath. Originally designed for specialty stores to display delicate ornaments using a minimum of floor space, the unusual tapering shape allows the tree to stand in places that do not accommodate a traditional holiday tree, such as between two armchairs or in a corner. The trees weighted base provides extra stability to prevent tipping and leaning, and it has 3,700 lifelike PVC branch tips that are carefully pre-strung with 800 bright clear commercial-grade lights. The inverted shape makes it easier to see ornaments, which hang away from the dense needles and do not get lost in the foliage. |

Gimme the good ole fashion up right tree any day! |
I was thinking it might be great for people with cats but then again it just might give them a reason to test their jumping skills:eek: |
haha! I saw those in a Christmas catalogue last year and I too, thought that the person doing the ad layout had goofed it up and put the picture in upside down. But no. I came to the conclusion that the tree's upside down so it has more room to fit pressies in under the tree for all the spoiled children. |
Does it actually hang from the ceiling, or is it just upside down on a floor base? I'm thinking of getting one if I don't have to screw it into the ceiling... Only kidding, but can you imagine the look on your neighbor's faces seeing this thing through the window? Can you imagine what your grandmothers and mother in laws would say about a tree like this? Geez, your gravy's already "not her recipe" and the turkey's already "too dry"... |

I think it would be fun to get one of those and hang something random from it... like wrap it with a clothes line-only in the way you would hang a garland, and then hang underwear and socks on it! Can you even imagine!? Dual purpose Christmas tree-looks festive AND dries your laundry! ;) |
