men....UGH!!!!! I swear..I could just live without men for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy. granted...I don't have a son...so I can seriously say that LOL we are having our investor (an extremely wealthy guy) and my bookkeeper and her bf over for dinner tonight. hubby called me and said "we are at wal-mart and then we will be home". ok...this was 3 hours before I was expecting company and i still had a lot of cleaning to do. I hadn't touched the guest bathroom, needed to vacuum, wanted to clean my bedroom because i am sure hubby will want to show off our recently re-done bathroom...just a lot to do in a short amount of time. so i busted my butt. got it looking GREAT all the way around. then dh calls and said "gary wanted to go back to his hotel so I dropped him off and will go pick him back up at 5". are you freaking kidding me?? it's ok...i guess i had nothing better to do with my time than to bust my hump for nothing. i really don't like men |
Hmmm....are you positive we aren't married to the same man? |

Mandee I think it's time for you to start chasing him around the house with a broom. |
Take a break!! If he wants to show off let him do it while you are out having some fun w/your babies!!! That way he can entertain, clean, cook and all that!!!   Men can be such babies at times:rolleyes: |
oh gosh do i know what you mean! My bf takes forever to get ready! Just now i was telling him hurry up and come over, he was like ok im gonna take a shower. I call him back 1/2hr later, do you think he took a shower yet? Nope!! |
Men just don't really "get it" when it comes to preparing for something else that doesn't deal with sports, electronics, or cars. |
oh...let's top of the evening here... mind you...i worked up a nice sweat trying to get the house in tip top shape before company arrived. it looked DAMN good!!! :) the only 2 rooms in the house i didn't clean were my daughters room and her play room...i refuse. she can clean it when she gets home....i am NOT doing it. it's a disaster. well....all was going great. we had a very fun, relaxing, humorous night. just as our investor was leaving...jim decides to show him the cool lights he installed...IN THE PLAY ROOM!!!!!!!!!!!   i started yelling "WHAT ARE YOU DOING???" everyone froze. i just walked away. everyone left and dh asked "what was that about?" do you really have to ask??? sheesh....after all the time i spent cleaning and preparing...you had to take them into the MESSIEST room in the house????? I knew I should have locked that door!!! OMG...I thought I would die. he really didn't see anything wrong with it until we got to talking. then dh just apologized. OYE!!!!!!!!!!! |
my hubby has no friggin clue when it comes to making things "look" clean (two boys, my hubby two dogs and a cat) I don't clean I place things stratigically to hide the dust!!!!! Everyone knows not to say anything about my cobwebs, I grow them trhoughout the year to get ready for halloween:D Anyway I went off track and lost my train of thought! |
My hubby use to do that too. I would clean the apartment except for our extra bedroom/office. He would allow his sister to watch tv in there when there are tvs in two other rooms. I didn't want her in that mess or to be nosing through my things. I'm the type of person I will know if she moved something an inch. I would get so upset. My FIL use to do it too. He would allow my SIL (who is 10) to go anywhere she wants in our apartment, so I felt I had no personal space. I stopped that real fast. Men! LOL |
On the bright side, at least you got it done and can relax before they come home! hehe. Sorry, that probably doesnt help out. But yes, men are SOOO like that! |
