Meerkat Flower Died!
 
:( I was so anxious for Meerkat Manor to come on this evening. I have loved watching it for the last two years. On tonights episode, the lead of the Whiskers family, Flower was killed defending her pups from a cobra. I am just so sad over this. After watching it for so long, it was as if those Meerkats were mine and now to lose one....I just don't know if I can watch it again.

Oh no! I only watch it occasionally but am so sad to hear flower is gone. :(

That is honestly the most depressing show. Someone is always dying on there.

I can't even watch it, haha. :(

It comes on the Animal Planets. It's the show with Meerkets.. they live in the ground and look like little weasels/ferrets, I guess you could say.

:eek: NO!!!! Toto and I love Meerkat Manor! We missed it last night ... will try to catch it today. It's a "for real" reality show that's actually suitable for children/grandchildren to watch. I find it fascinating to observe their habits, etc. I'm sad over this too. :(

My mother loved Meerkat Manor. Since she passed, I've tried to watch it; but, Abigail won't let us. She apparently has very strong feelings about them! She barks at the TV when they're on. Of course, she seems to have very strong feelings about any animal being in her TV....:p

oh no - I didn't see the episode but used to watch them all the time - they have such personalities and the narration is awesome for that show....poor Flower - she was a special part of that whole series

I can't believe Flower was the first thing on my mind this morning. I feel like she was my pet and my heart is still aching so much. I had no idea I had gotten so attached to her and the Whiskers family of meerkats. She was a strong leader. It didn't show if any of the babies survived. It did show a pup coming out of the den, but the pups she died for were just born and too small to come out.

Oh to answer your question....the show is Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet. The new shows run on Friday nights, but throughout the week also.

We are Meerkat Manor FREAKS!! That is why we named our newest cat Flower!!! But I knew for the past couple weeks that Flower was going to die..they gave too much away in the commercials...I missed it last night due to a wedding rehearsal...but I know my kids will fill me in!! I am getting all of the seasons on DVD for my son for his birthday...we are addicted!!

My Mom & I used to spend Saturday's watching nonstop old John Wayne movies! She was showing signs of dementia so lots of them were like "brand new" to her .... as far as I ever let on, they were new to me too! It was really the snuggling all day in her den that I loved and miss!! :p Now, every chance I get, I do the same thing with my grandchildren and we watch Meerkat Manor! Toto will sometimes sit for the longest time just like a little Meerkat! Her balance is incredible! I love those little animals. ;)
