I need to come up with a clever name for the cast covers that I make. I am going to try and market them to different local vets...as well as put them on my website.

Here is a pic of the latest one I made...and this is the style I will be using (of course, the customer could pick their fabric)

any clever names? someone in another thread called it a "cast coozie"

i thought that was sooooooo cute. but isn't a coozie supposed to keep drinks cool? that's not the purpose of the cast cover...it is to hide the cast, keep it clean, and keep the pup from chewing on it.

so...any ideas?? there are some super clever people on YT so hopefully I can get some creative ideas.

I love it, what a wonderful idea for casts. I am not clever like that. I'm just awful at thinking up names. Every time we get a boat it takes months to think up a new name, easier to name kids.
But I just wanted to tell you about something I saw in a Hallmark store. It's "PeePee TeePee". Someone has come up with a little fabric cone "hat" about 2" high, waterproof on the outside that you place over your baby boy's peepee when you're changing his diaper so you don't get squirted!!! Where was I when the creative brains were handed out?

I think those cast covers are a great idea.
I;ll try and thik of something but I know a lot of creative people on here will help you.

I just want you to know that they do make cast covers for humans, do a search and see what they call it so that you don't accidentally use their name. My youngest son Garrett, broke his arm bad last year and need surgery to repair both the bones and we got him the cast cover. I'll look and see if I can find it, we were moving at the time and it night still be out in our shed. Good luck and I think that it is a cute Idea!

A cozy keeps it warm, like a tea cozy which is more prevalent in the UK than US. So a "cast cozy" which I mentioned in the other thread would insulate the cast, and keep that warm.

Is it waterproof? When a cast was put on a little 3 month old Chihuahua I got out of the shelter last year, the problem we had was letting her outside to potty when the grass was wet with dew. We ended up not letting her out till the grass was totally dry. We just kept her in the expen with a potty pad down. So, the waterproof "slock" would be a must! ;)

it is not completely waterproof, but it is thick enough that it absorbs water without getting the cast wet. and i put the "non-slid" bottom so that it doesn't wear the bottom out when they drag it, but it also keeps the bottom from getting wet.

maybe i can look into some water repellent

OH...i get it now :) I thought you said " coozy" and was thinking of those little things people put their beers in to help keep the beer cold LOL
