I Need Help Please . I need advice I thought i had it figure out but now not so sure As some of you know i had a Lab to become sick, I still think it was the tennis balls, test on the balls came back inclusive, what ever that means, she does have lead traces in her blood and a lung infection. Here is my problem this lab is a serviceman dog, he is Iraq. will be until march of next year, he emails me whenever he can to check on his dog, his dog had a complete physical xrays and all before she was left with me, she was healthly. I had decided not to tell him anything about his dog being sick, I feel like he has enough on his plate without worry about her, there nothing that he can do, but worry, my daughter thinks he should be told. everthing being done for his dog that can be done, even going to the base vet that 35 miles away because this is her vet and he knows her history. Please tell me what you think I ought to do. Thanks, |

Is she going to get better? Wow, my first instinct is to say that he should be told. You know him better than any of us. I know that many people would be angry that they weren't told and others might be thankful that you saved them the worry. I would be amung the first group. If it's just a passing thing and she will get better than I would save him the worry. If it's life threatening he would probably rather know. Hmmmmm, I really don't know. Those are just my thoughts. Is she suppose to recover from this? If so I'd wait to tell him, but then I might wait to tell him even if she won't recover. It will be very hard for him to take all the way over there. |
of the two dogs that play with tennis balls, she the worst because she always had one in her mouth , the jack russell is just tired all the time, not bouncing off the walls like she was a couple months ago, the lab has a dry hacking cough and always out of breath now like she can't get her breath, we could throw the ball forever and she never quit and when you quit she would throw the at your feet. now 4 throws and she done. she goes back in a month for more test, her vet seems to think her lungs are damage and she will not be a 100% again, she eats and seems happy, she has lost weight. I knew something was wrong just could figure it out. |
If y'all are believers in Prayer, Id tell Him so he could pray about it ..... Would YOU want to be left out of the loop if his was your dog ?? To come home to find out your dog has passed away or just sick, would NOT be a good thing !! I am assuming He is trusting you ....will he trust you after you kept this a secret ??? Id tell him, and tell him the dog is getting better, has more tests comming , but is strong and is looking good............... |
